You can also take off the output shaft shield thing (4 bolts) which makes install so much easier.

As someone who's done this Tcase removal/install I give you mad props and like for doing it yourself. I had to have my wife pry back the subframe so I could squeeze it in. Tcase is not the lightest thing in the world either. Good job dude!

I know it's difficult to record everything when you're working Solo, but I appreciate even the smallest amount of extra footage/instructions. It makes a huge difference. Like most videos don't show unbloting or bolting things back up. It may not seem that important, but for some reason when trying to figure something out, it makes a world of difference!

Still love watching these videos! I'll have an Evo 8 one day soon

The captive bolt in the frame for the subframe is a pain in the ass. Luckily mine spun when taking out the engine so I tac welded them in place never to be a problem again, but no Impct tools on them

Meanwhile I want to convert *to* an ACD transfer case in my Legnum VR4 (never been done - requires lots of wiring). Why would you want to dump ACD?
@Thr33.Sid3z4 жыл бұрын
Honestly, having ACD is more of a hassle when you have to remove/install & it's just more parts that can break. More moving parts= more possible problems!

Bro, all you got to do is take the tail end piece off, MUCH easier w/o messing with the subframe.

Do you know the part number for the seal drive shaft for the Evo x?
@bhcshifu6 жыл бұрын
The stud that was spinning is a box bolt. Really stupid design. As soon as you impact them it rounds the corners on the bolt that was "trapped" in the box in the part of the frame you cant see and it spins :( GG Mitsubishi. They changed that design on the X.

Does anyone by any chance know if I can (and how) fit either the whole evo 6 T-case into an Evo 8MR, or if I can at least fit the internals of an Evo 6 T-case into an evo 8MR T-case please🙏🏻🙏🏻
