REDARC's Powerdock Charging System provides a secure way to transport your Go-Block portable power system in your vehicle and get the most out of it, with rapid charging from DC and solar inputs. The Powerdock charging system is a lockable, anti-theft, quick release mechanism that lets you secure your GoBlock safely while on the road and release it easily for use when you arrive at your destination.
This DIY Install Guide walks through all the steps to choose where to mount the Powerdock and how to install it step-by-step, the tools required for the installation and safety installation requirements. Read the instruction manual carefully before installing to ensure that the vehicle mounting location and wiring parts meet requirements.
WHAT TOOLS DO YOU NEED?
• Spanner
• Socket Sets
• Side Cutters
• Wire Strippers
• Drill
• Powerdock: www.redarcelec...
• Powerdock Wiring Kit: www.redarcelec...
Step-by-step guide:
1. Choose a location that can be safely and easily accessed, with enough clearance on all sides to
access inputs, outputs and operate the locking mechanism.
2. Ensure the mounting surface is flat and safe to drill into. If it's sheet metal, it should be at least 1mm thick and a permanent, structural part of the vehicle.
3. Check the wiring kit to ensure you have all the components - we recommend using a REDARC Powerdock wiring kit
4. Mark out where you will drill the six holes, using the template. Use the vertical or horizontal slots in Powerdock.
5. Drill the holes as marked.
6. Fasten the Powerdock to the mounting surface using the supplied nuts, bolts and washers.
7. Refer to the wiring diagram in the Powerdock manual. Determine the correct length of the wires required to connect to the engine bay.
8. Follow the diagram to securely wire the Powerdock.
9. Take care to ensure wires are connected in the correct locations, following the video. Ensure the tension on each connection and nut is correct.
10. Follow the video guide closely to correctly set up the terminal block with the grounding cable (black), solar cables (yellow/black), vehicle input cable (red) and ignition cable (blue). This can be mounted behind a panel to keep things neat.
11. Securely anchor cables to prevent strain or abrasion.
12. Check that the Powerdock system is working as expected by running the engine and using the
REDVISION app to check that the GoBlock is charging.
