After seeing your video, I decided to pull the trigger on my Thuren wishlist. Got their springs, boogie bumps, track bar, and front overland shocks and I put them all on about a month ago, and holy cow it rode like a car on a tight curvey rough blacktop highway that used to make me pucker when keeping up with traffic. Truck wouldn't feel planted and would shudder taking those curves. But now, wow Instant awesomeness. Then i put on some 37" Milestar Patagonias. WOW, it goes anywhere, except a gas station lol. With 2 sets of rims, I'm saving the Patagonias for weekend playing and the PWIM in Sept (now not in May, thanks stupid Corona virus), and I'll use the 35" Cooper's for daily use. Nice video. I recommend the Thuren parts!

It’s only a problem if you use a spacer lift and dont correct axle being off center with an adjustable track bar. Stock suspension does not have this issue nor does a proper coil spring lift with adjusted track bar

@@austinsoffroadgarage I dunno why people see the bow and think that's a problem. Just look at the axle path when at full droop. Yes, they bow when underweight. But the PW coils compared to diesel are a lot softer and offer more travel with the added shock length. Thuren's do sit differently. The real problem was that 2-inch spacer with the factory coils there. That really exaggerates the coil bow. We run these rigs pretty hardcore in Moab every year and are sponsored by Thuren.
@Victor10159613 жыл бұрын
So every time installing a 2 inch spacer, you need to also install the a Thuren spring to avoid problems in the future ?
@heathpalmer42833 ай бұрын
Just don’t install those spacers, put in quality Therun or Carli lift springs.

I had to max out my jack stands. Fully disconnect the swaybar. Then I was able to just barely sneak out the jack. The jack can then be used to push up on the opposing knuckle to slip in/out the spring on the other side and then vice versa. At full droop, when you push up on one knuckle a little, the other will droop farther. No pry bars required. If I had to do it again, I would have gotten taller jack stands.
@austinsoffroadgarage4 жыл бұрын
I will keep this in mind the next time. Thanks!

I was about to correct you on the axles but saw you did it in your post. What caused the bowing to occur? I have a stock 19 PW and it doesn't have any bowing. Also are those the stock rims and if so, how have the 37x12.5s been on them? Most of the manufactures for 35x12.5s and 37x12.5s say they need to be mounted on at least a 8.5" wide rim. Stocks are 17x8.

At a point the front drive shaft will jam against the skid plate and stop the axle from drooping. You can end up damaging the shaft. I unbolt the shafts at the diff pinion

Hey Austin, what did you felt on your power wagon before changing the coils and after what was the result you were looking for or the issue with the driving experience you were trying to fix ? I have a 2020 power wagon beautiful truck I love it , one of my coil springs is closer than the other one, the passenger side is 1 inch apart from the metal or motor and the driving side has a 3” gap , my truck steering wheel shakes slightly only between 60-70 mphs before or after that it drives like a dream tho , I have new tires they’re the same as factory I did an alignment and balance the tires and it didn’t fix the issue , we’re you having the same issue ?
