@@darrianbenjamin7292 100% agree. I get tired of reading comments about they should of used this brand of amp. Or that brand of speaker. Not everyone has a sky's the limit budget. They just want some better than factory sound in their daily driver. Hell most of my gear, is stuff I've collected over the years. Some really good upper end stuff. Some middle of the road stuff. All that matters is that I'm happy with it. Lorenzo did a great install with his customers budget in mind. I'm pretty sure the customer will be happy when he hears it.

I loved doing installs like this as a hobby in my own cars, in the cars of my friends and for some of my relatives. The passion started in high school and continued on well past post-graduate educational training. I’m well into my 40’s now with my own children and hope to teach them things like this. As you can very well see, doing something like this takes patience and planning and foresight. Of course you can just plug everything in then just let the components float around in your trunk & under your seats, but part of my own satisfaction was routing the wires, cutting them to the exact lengths needed, crimping or soldering the cable ends on then securing & protecting the ends with shrink wrap. Man, as many have already stated, this is a very clean install and watching your painstaking attention to detail was more than satisfying. It was downright therapeutic! Keep up your awesome “functional artwork”. Regardless of how old or beaten-up any car may be, it can always benefit from an upgraded audio system. Thank you so much for your video(s)!

I asked him you like that he said "i cant wait till I get my car and put a system in it. So I gave him my old car and we started working on a system in his when he 15. On his 16 bday took him to get his DL and let him drive on to school. I will always remember him pulling out the driveway that day and turning up the music headed to school.

@@Az56818 I hear you but I think people expect amps to do their rated power. Blaupunkt is almost as bad as BOSS in that area. I don't think anyone should hand over their money to a company who lies and counts on the consumer being uniformed. I'm sure they used CCA wire too. I feel like CCA wire is dishonest. I think most people who have CCA wire in there car just aren't educated about the subject.
@JimmyTheProstitute2 жыл бұрын
@@Titans2138 CCA wire isn't bad depending on your application. If your wire can handle the amperage you are sending to it then it's not a big deal. If you are trying ti maximize your peer based in the gauge wite you are using then OFC is your best bet. But I think CCA is something like 70-80% efficieny of OFC. So if you have oversized 1/0 CCA for a monoblock 4 gaguge input amp and you have calculated your required amps you will be fine.

Hi Lorenzo great To watch. Very Clean and tidy. Have question. Not Started yet but got most of what I need. X-type jag screen head unit. Very Silly Question. 4 speaker's to head unit (8) cut connect wires to Amp. Other 8 to RGB converter from head unit. If I still wanted to use head unit as normal can you get a 3 way splitter to cross wires back to Standard. I know you're thinking why would you do that. I want to be able to use both. Only using the Amp as & when. But also using Car Standard too. I think I've worked it out. I wondered if they was a unit that can do this? I found a 4 way shut off. Yes means clicking 4 switches to turn them off. But not Cross over on to Standard or back to Amp. Also adding a on/off to Remote wire. This would shut Amp off but be nothing sound wise. The unit with 4 on/off on it looks pretty easy to modify to 3 way to cross over. Is they a unit Out there without getting messy. Hopefully you understand. I'm no Expert but can do most things. Hope you can help. 👍

12:52 whoa, phillip heads! Hey, I noticed your ferrule crimper makes them square but inside the input is round which in high power scenarios would make for a bottleneck. Just a thought.
@RAW_Reality3 жыл бұрын
You're actually not correct about this... In truth, you're getting more surface contact out of a terminal nut that's connecting flat than you are if you're forcing wire to split and compress by keeping it round without a ferrule. Aside from that, you're also keeping the wire itself from that damaging act, making for an easier install, creating a more stable connection, and preventing stray wires from potentially touching other terminal ports (which would cause shorts/damage to the amp itself). Additionally, if you've got the proper gauged wire and a stable connection, you're always going to have more than enough power going through it, regardless of what shape it is in the the port. A power "bottleneck" would come from smaller wiring than recommended or worse quality wire hundreds of times (and watts) over before comparing the wire/port shape would.

Yes and no. If it's a sub amp and it's not powering any mids or highs believe it or not you can get away with it because the crossover will filter out the alternator whine on its own. Alternator whine comes in at higher frequencies not sub level. So if you're just an amp and subwoofer you can save time by doing it that way.
