Installing vinyl siding. (Garage part 5)

It didn't seem possible to do as a DIY'er, but I gave myself a goal of completing the entire exterior of my garage workshop in ONE WEEK! This woodworking shop is my dream shop, but can I keep in within my budget of $25,000 Canadian? Only time will tell for this hobbyist woodworker!

She's very white! LOL Good work. And yes, it's a lot of work. The 2x4 vs 2x6 fascia is not a big deal, especially on an accessory building at the back of the lot. You certainly won't notice it when you're working in it this winter! Hope you're already enjoying it.

The sweat equity is worth it in the end. During the project you looked sweaty and a little miserable. I think I mentioned something similar but kicking back in the new shop is gonna be real nice.

Its not a random thing on the siding lenghts. You just generally stick to 3 6 9 12. And try and never do anything smaller than 3 foot if possible.

@@windfirewoodwork siding is a weird trade. There are multiple methods for doing things just as simple as j channel. Its definitely a passion if you wanna be good at it. I dont miss it one bit ill tell you that much.

Have never seen anyone caulk in the windows. That was weird. Wed do fire and ice on the flange tho.

Everything Id seen on windows showed caulking, but I’m not a tradesman: I’ll bow to your expertise!

@windfirewoodwork it might be a new thing. But id be cussin the guy who did it if i was replacing them. Ive not done windows for a number of years.
