I got a set of clears with the updated harness on a black 8. What a absolute beauty

Installed this taillight yesterday, then find out that daytime when the light is off and put on turn signal will cause hyper flash and a light code on dash. However, it works fine at the night time when the head and tail light is on.

nice, only wish there were some close ups of the harnesses when you were connecting them and maybe when you were fishing the wires thru. Also, is that a GTI with a quad exhaust? It had me thinking it's an R but the only R in that color was the 333 which only sold in Germany?

does making the whole in the grommet make you susceptible to water damage?

There are kits available, but they are twice the cost! There is a lot more work involved to get the rear fog light working on these compared to the Mk7! I wish there was an easier way - we will certainly add the option if we can in the future!

We do not have a clear tail light option, but it is something we'd like to offer in the future! We have not tested this harness with any other lights, and it is currently only available as a part of our tail light kit!

We'd love to make that happen, but in the meantime these are much brighter vs the OEM for the US market!
