Yeah man, especially as it only has 112 loops built in. I mean I'm sure that's still a LOT of scope for creativity given all the chopping and combination you can do not to mention effects, but it still feels a bit limited.

Yeah I miss that feature. They’ll probably add it in an update. It’s still a LOT of sounds that you can add to your productions without manually cutting samples.

This is just what I needed at the right time too. I’m working on a fast technical melodic project and the Kontakt 7 metal drums eat my entire CPU. So I can use those more sparingly and make this Bloom plugin the star of the show for drums.

Just what it comes with - it’s like an instrument where the content and fx are designed to work together.

@@fanggirl441in turn, it's like the ujam rompler, a limited and closed sound bank, I hate that, I prefer to do the sound design myself, I consider that it is part of the sound identity. alternatives like loopmix and hy slicer 2 are in this more judicious case.

I have Capt. Epic plugins. The Beat Capt plugin I found to be limited with not great quality sounds to be honest. I love, Melody, Chords and Deep, but Beat needs some work.

The sound banks are bang average. If it had the ability to import your own samples or even export what you’ve created to midi so you could use your own, we would be on to a winner.

Yeah. At the moment, it is an instrument, not a sampler. Everything in it is catered to the sample banks that it comes with. - JC

No. Just built in samples. I understand the reasoning behind it. Loops have to be quantized to a grid and trimmed to a bar or 2 bars but this would be one of the best sample choppers on the market if they added in the ability to add your own loops.

This looks pretty rad! So I got the plugin, threw it on a MIDI track in Live, pressed play, and... Nothing. I can trigger the slices with the keyboard, but the phrase player doesn't ever start cycling. The "Sync" slider button is enabled (although I've tried it both ways). Am I missing something? Do I need to make a "stair-step" MIDI clip in order to play the phrase?

So the answer is: Make a one- or two-bar loop that just has one of the upper black keys held for its entirety. Then you can press play, go into the pattern and swap samples, etc. I think in the video, they are just holding down the black key the whole time.

Hey, you're obviously great at what you do, but you skim over stuff so fast it's like you assume everyone knows how to use it in advance. I'm as lost as i was before I watched the video. I'm sure it's just me, but I can't stand the design of this thing - it's horrible and the editing page -I don't think I'm ever going to be comfortable with the phrase player. I'm probably just going to be dropping random beats into midi and hope I come up with something that doesn't suck. I wish the developer had their own tutoials, but I guess it's PB or nothing.
