Y'all I just finish this and it was so delicious. I used bone in, skin on thighs and it has turned out perfect. So easy. I had basmati rice and plantains with it. Absolutely amazing. Definitely will be added to my regular rotation. I'll be trying it with all veggies too.

I've made this recipe many times and it's sooooo good!!! If you don't have a pressure cooker or IP you can do it in a pan on the stove too. After browning and sauteing everything you simmer and cover for about 30 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and potatoes are soft, on low heat.

Ma’am I just made this for dinner last night and had it today for lunch. Had to sub cayenne pepper with chili powder and used hot madras curry powder from Walmart all while attempting to double the recipe and the whole house loved it. 💙
@carljohnson8704 жыл бұрын
I made this recipe last night and it was fabulous. I made 2 changes. First was I didn't have any coconut milk so I substituted a quarter cup heavy whipping cream mixed with a quarter cup of water. This really helped thicken the sauce and made it smooth (but not too creamy). I also cut back on the potatoes by using 1 very large potato instead of 2 potatoes. This I cut into about 8 or 10 smaller chunks. This dish is so flavorful that it's definitely going into my "keeper" file. Tomorrow will be leftovers ….. Yay!

Usually every May I plant sunflower seeds along my fence line 3 rows deep. In 3 months I have a sunflower forest 7-8 ft tall. It brings me immense joy watching the stages of growth. Unfortunately this year I'll not be able to do it. Question. I only eat skinless, boneless chicken breasts. I'm going to assume I skip the browning process, right. Recipe looks delicious!

Hi Sunflower Baby, boneless chicken breasts will come out a lil drier. I recommend reducing the cooking time by a minute.

Hi Amy Jacky👋🏼. You’ve again inspired me to try out a local Singaporean chicken curry dish to cook in the IP (actually wifey requested for the dish as I was watching this😜) that I usually cook on the stove top. I’ll post to SG Instant Potters on Facebook if it turns out well and I will also post a photo at your InstantPot Recipes site if I can learn how to reduce the photo size😜. Thanks again for your words of wisdom and insights and of course for the inspiration to try new ways to cook established recipes.

Great video looking forward to trying this soon. Question Can you use any curry paste if you can't find curry power? And what kind of flavor curry power did you use? is there different flavors of curry power or just one kind?
@Pressurecookrecipes4 жыл бұрын
Hi onthahush production, it will need more curry paste around 1/3 cup. We bought our curry powder mix at a local Indian store. Depending on what spices are mixed in the curry powder, they will taste different. Take care & stay safe!

My only feedback is don't worry about speaking clearly, it seems like you're a natural at that. Maybe you're concentrating on being clear so it feels like you sound a little quiet and subdued instead of happy about doing these videos. Just try to let the enthusiasm of cooking (which I know you guys love cooking and eating!) come through in your voice, enjoy! LOVE your site and posts and liking this new series of videos, "jia you" (add oil)!
@Pressurecookrecipes4 жыл бұрын
Raymond, I just want to say your feedback, encouragement & support really spoke to my heart and put a big smile on my face. Thank you for your "add oil". 💖 There's definitely a learning curve for me to speak in front of a camera (it feels quite awkward speaking to a camera...😅). But I'll certainly work hard to practice & get better at it while sharing some delicious recipes with you. Looking forward to seeing you around. Hope you & your family stay safe & well. Take care~

I have a question: on your recipe website - it says the whole dish is 420 calories with 4-6 servings of it. Does that mean 3 servings of this is 1260 calories? That can't be right. Sorry I'm just wondering because I'm trying to incorporate this into my diet.

Hi Amy & Jacky, I made this tonight and I ran into a problem where my instant pot said “burn food” on the screen and turned off the instant pot automatically. I opened it and it was burned pretty bad on the bottom. I followed the recipe exactly. But, is there something that I might of done wrong? Did anyone else encounter this problem? It still tasted delicious, i just wished I hadn’t burned the bottom so badly.
@studimeglio71102 жыл бұрын
I seen another recipe similar to this. She said she had same problem. She said it’s the coconut milk that does that. Add half in beginning & half at end.
