Hi , Just got the new duo nova , snd noticed this has the pressure valve with no venting or sealing Luke the old instant pot. ? I’ve misplaced the book so asking here Thxs

does 1st time preheating takes too long? its been over 2 minutes and the count down hasnt started yet. haha

Countdown begins when the pot reaches full pressure. In order for that to happen, the liquid needs to boil to create enough steam to seal the pot. This can take 10+ minutes depending on how much liquid is in there, the temp of the contents etc.
