I made this! It was really wonderful! It tasted like it came from my son's favorite Thai restaurant which is always packed with people because the food they serve is so good. My claim to fame is not my cooking but, I have to say, I would serve this to anyone and everyone and be proud of myself. I still can't believe it! It was so delicious!!! Thank you Jeffrey!!!

The Massaman tins arrived from Amazon this morning, and I made this exceptional curry this evening. You never disappoint, but this meal was nothing short of phenomenal.

This is one of my faves! I’ve made it from scratch and it’s so labor-intensive, so I previously bought this paste but didn’t add the extra PB and tamarind juice. Looks like a game-changer! I ordered it all from Amazon before this video was even finished. Can’t wait!

Not only are your recipes consistently good, but your enthusiasm about each of your dishes is convincing enough for me that I've recreated many of your suggestions. NOW, a Manhattan Clam Chowder recipe if you please.

Jeff, I JUST finished my leftovers of Massaman Curry Soup. I looked up recipes for it, but they were long and complicated, due to having to make the paste. But you saved the day! Can't wait to get the paste you used and make the curry! Thanks again. Love all your videos!

My local Thai restaurant includes slivers of avocado in it's Massaman Chicken Curry, which is a nice touch. Looking forward to making this.

Well it tastes fantastic, the first ever meal cooked in my instant pot apart from the initial water test, I thought there was somethig going wrong as it stayed on pre heat for a while and when I was about to press cancel it went to 8 minutes!! So I thought I would type this, the recipe was easy to follow and tastes scrumptious, it tastes hot in curry spice but that is normal for Thai, two things I couldn't sort at first, Tamarind paste so I made my own using a old recipe, 3 tbls of worcestershire sauces, 3 of fresh lemon juice, 2 of water 2 of light brown sugar and half a cup of tomato puree and mix well, whats left over you must freeze as it wont keep otherwise, I have enough for one more curry. The second thing is that when I went to pressurise the first time I got a Burn warning, I had deglazed the pan but I did think my mixture was a bit thick, so after the warning I cancelled the program, added 2 cups of water mixed it all in well , heated it up and this time it worked perfectly. I'm in Spain so have the european model, people have said we need to watch out as the voltage is higher here and to add more water in cases where you get the burn message, It hasn't damaged the curry in any way. iI finished cooking a few moments ago and tastes perfect, cant believe how quick pressure cooking is!

I have an 8 quart pot and tried this recipe twice. My pot won’t come up to pressure at all. The second time I tried I did change the sealing ring and even pressing down on the lid but no dice. I ended up just having to put my IP on sauté and finish the curry by simmering it. Don’t get me wrong, if you follow this recipe it will turn out fantastic. Just if you have an 8 quart pot it might take a little longer. Keep up the great work Jeff. You are the best pressure cooker channel on KZbin hands down!

Looks super duper yummy. But I’ll have to try to find a different curry paste brand because the one you using has sesame in it and I’m allergic to sesame seeds. If I can find one with no sesame in it I’ll try this recipe and let you know how it comes out.

You have to be in queens NY HAHA Do yourself a favor and try the restaurant LA Flor near the 52nd street 7 train. Crabmeat stuffed shrimp in a lemon butter sauce with spinach and mashed potato. The osso bucco is pretty good too. Oh and thanks for all of the recipes. I was lost when I first bought the instant pot on black friday

I also just bought an Instant Pot on Black Friday, & started watching YT videos. Until I found Jeffrey, I had about decided I would return it, bc all the recipes were not at all interesting to me. Pressure Luck Cooking completely sold me on it, now I’m excited.

Great video as always Jeffrey. Can you substitute almond butter and almonds for the peanut butter and peanuts in this recipe if you can't have peanuts? I also second the request for Manhattan clam chowder.

Help!!! Bought a new T-fal electric pressure cooker. The 12 -in- 1, 6 quarts. B-3384 in the series EPC 06. The how to instruction is so hard to understand! If it's at all possible, can you please post a video on how to use it? I have a DIY function key, and I'm wondering if that is the manual key? I also have a pressure cooking key. This is my first ever cooker and I'm overwhelmed. Love your recipes.

I had something strange happen when I made this the first time. I followed all the directions, except i dropped 1 potato and added a small can of water chestnuts, and bamboo shoots. This was a request from my wife. Once I set the IP for 8 minutes I went off to do something and when I came back to check on it, I noticed that it had 1 minute to go, but it never pressure sealed. I tried resetting the 8 minutes afraid of under cooked chicken. It did finally seal, and I did a quick release after the 8 minutes. The chicken was overcooked, but overall it was a great meal. Does anyone know why it started cooking even though it never pressure sealed. Do I need to get rid of this 6 qt IP and get a new one?
@lormunboy6 жыл бұрын
I have an 8qt IP and doubled up on the recipe. An issue I had was the bottom kept burning when I reached the pressure cooking part. So the IP gave me that "burn" error.
@PressureLuck6 жыл бұрын
I made mine in a 6qt and haven't tried in the 8qt but I'm surprised to see that. Next time, add in more coconut milk!

Same here. I used 6 qt and could never get it to pressure. Kept getting the “burn” error. First time I’ve had that with my IP. :(
@catgauthier92802 жыл бұрын
I have the 6qt. Got the burn error. Hit cancel, quick released pressure, once pin dropped added half a cup of water and stired bottom with plastic spatula. Put lid on and set to 8 minutes. No further problems, perfection! Hubby LOVED it.

Why do you add potatoes to it ? I think I’d double up on the meat and just put it over the rice and leave the potatoes out of it totally. JMO.
