Made this yesterday! Wow! This is delicious! This will have your family ask for seconds! I did change it a bit. As step one, I fried some chicken thighs in the pot and then the rest of the steps. Thanks!

I just made this tonight and it was amazing! I left out the oil and just used a little veggie broth to saute. I will be making this a lot this fall for sure!

This was excellent. No garlic for me, but the rest of the recipe was a winner! Loved the fresh spinach to finish it off, giving a delightfully refreshing taste. I did squeeze a bit of lemon on it before stirring to give a fresh flavor. Thanks for the recipe!

I tried this today. It was very different from what I’m use to. However after a few swallows it was quite pleasant. But I did have to cut down the recipe by 2/3. I have a 2 quart pressure cooker and it was only for myself. I will repeat it but I will have to cut down the spice a little more since I halved it. I should have tried to use 1/4 tsp and add 1/8 to make 3/4 of a teaspoon. Tfs

I will try it tonight with a few tweaks: will use berbere spice mix, which has what you put plus something else. Will splash some like at the very end. Will cut the spinach cause I hate burning myself with those hot spinach leaves hitting my lips. And will definitely not use the bloppy broth….I’m vegetarian and I literally had a vomit attack when I started hearing and seeing that gel. You should warn viewers before the start of the video 😂

Looks good, I’ll give it a try. I don’t have an Instant Pot, as I don’t buy gadgets, it’ll work in a pan I’m sure

Or just get a regular old pressure cooker for $30 at wal-mart. Does the same thing at 1/3rd the price.

Sandy, have you ever used dried chick peas that have soaked overnight?
@SandyGClifton6 жыл бұрын
Not for this recipe, but you could. Just need to adjust the cook time.

Definitely not Morrocan, but for sure Moroccan inspired. Is it soup or stew? It looks like it could taste a little like tagine.

Can I use a regular pressure cooker Also need to use frozen meat Is that okay ? Thanks
@SandyGClifton4 жыл бұрын
Yes you can. If you are adding frozen meat, just be sure that it will cook in the sam amount of time as the soup. If using frozen thighs with bone and skin, just let it naturally release about 5 minutes longer to ensure the meat is cooked through.

gonna make this even though I don't have an instant pot.

That’s soup. Too thin for a stew.
@SandyGClifton5 жыл бұрын
Not when you mash up some of the chickpeas. Don't confuse it with a chowder!
@bc12485 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry. I don’t mean any harm, but it looks like soup to me. But it looks very yummy, so I’ll try it your way first and see how it comes out. If it’s more like soup than stew, then I’ll thicken it a bit with a little slurry.
@SandyGClifton5 жыл бұрын
@@bc1248 Thanks, you can also reduce the amount of broth, and cook it down on sauté setting after pressure cooking. Then thicken further if desired.
