The best chili that I’ve ever made. OMG, the smooth tender texture of the short ribs sets this OFF. This will be my next entry into the chili cook off at work!

We made this tonight with 3 1/2 pounds of short ribs. We couldn’t find fresh cherry peppers and the jarred ones we did find were stuffed with cheese. We used anyway and left the cheese bits in with the other veggies. Couldn’t find banana peppers fresh or jarred, so that didn’t happen. The final dish was fabulous and probably the best chili we have ever made. I will be entering this in our next chili cook off-once we can do that again.

OMG! The best chili ever. The flavors are amazing. I used boneless short ribs. I prefer them to the bone on. Also I only used the bell peppers in red and yellow and poblano and one jalapeño. Perfect. Another great recipe Jeffery. Thank you.

Just made boneless beef ribs last night in the IP... all meat, no bones. Turned out perfect - 25 minutes full pressure, 15 minutes natural release, keep warm until you're ready to eat or use in a recipe like this. I hadn't considered using ribs in chili, but that's a great idea! I think stew meat or maybe even boneless pork chops would also work pretty well.

OMG just did this. One word: to. die. for. :))). Flavourful! So tasty! So good! And it’s smell heaven in the house. I have to tell that I changed the short ribs (too pricy) for veal shanks (Osso Buco Chili sort of things). Absolutely amazing. Thanks to you .

Even here in the states, the chili base is nowhere to be found. Tried 10 stores! They have everything but the chili base. I contacted the company, they told me to check with store managers or buy it off the website. Went to the website and the price is way to high once shipping is calculated. Just not worth it.

@GaryPiazza3 жыл бұрын
@@sarab8084 Yeah, you can put your location info in on their website and it will give you a list of stores around that carry it. I did that again today and no stores in Oregon or Washington area where I live have it. Went to the store today to have them fill out the supplier information so the local grocer can carry it. We'll see if it works!

Ok, I’m from Texas. Recipe looks good, but please, if you go south of the red river with the beans n banana peppers, you better call that “Goulash”, or you stand a really good chance of getting run outta town! You might get away with it in Austin, but you go to Amarillo, you’re getting whooped. 😆

Beer would be much better in this than wine. All the spices should get sautéed in the oil when you start. They are oil-soluble and will deliver more flavor that way. And, if you really need to quickly saute on all sides then why don’t YOU do that? Just look at the video and see all the sides of this meat that never touched the bottom of the pan.

Fairly new to this channel, but I've been watching as many of his video as I can, no matter how old. Doing that, it seems to me he was using AND promoting "Better Than Bouillon" from fairly early one... BEFORE he was probably "big enough" to entice them into sponsoring him. Looks to this uninformed viewer at least that he believes in the product, and I don't begrudge him making money from it. That's called FREE ENTERPRISE!

He said there is a reduced sodium option...and besides, if you have ever actually tried any of the Better Than Bullion products, you would eat your words. They are simply the best.
