Some folks say you need water for it to come to pressure... does it work with just bbq sauce on top??
@Leelalicious2 жыл бұрын
I do use water at the bottom. With that 1/3 cup of water, and the liquid released from the onions, chicken, and BBQ sauce I've never had a problem getting the pot to pressurize. If you think your pot might need more water, use up to 1 cup. But then I would recommend to reduce the cooking liquid significantly on the sauté setting after pressure cooking, before adding it to the chicken for shredding.

It would have been helpful to see the use of thighs on the video since the recipe options for it, all 3 segments were breast parts. Not sure how the dark meat looks and finishes after cooking along with differences in taste/texture compared to white meat. Also, I wonder if drumsticks with the skin removed would work since this is the cheapest part of the chicken?

Thighs and drumsticks work will with these recipes. The only difference is, I cook those for around 20-25 minutes for tender, fall-apart texture

Leelalicious Thanks for the response, drumsticks goes on sale at $.79 per pound so this helps to keep us fed. You’re doing a good thing.
