are the Hoyt carbon/bamboo limbs that much better than the standard limbs?
@drewanderson502

I have a 21” satori with long #40 factory limbs and my draw length is 29.5” and the scale reads 50#. I followed the complete setup process you outlined and used full length Gold Tip Primos shafts that weigh 9.4 gpi along with a nocturnal nock and factory GT inserts. I ended up having to go with a 200 gr tip to keep the shaft full length, but I could not get rid of the tail high impact no matter what I did. I raised the nocking point all the way to 1” even and it would still come in nock high. The owner of the bow shop tried helping me out and we kept experimenting with adjusting the brace height as well as the tiller and I didn’t leave with a tuned bare shaft. Close, but still nock high. I shot so much I wore off the skin on the side of my nose and the corner of my lip. I would assume the times I got a nock left or right it was user error, but why would I keep getting a nock high no matter how high I set the nock point?
@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998
@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998 3 жыл бұрын
Alright brother first thanks for reaching out, as strange as it sounds try nock tuning it just to see if it gets better also I would almost bet the shaft is a hair weak and to determine that throw a 100 grain tip on it and see if it does anything to correct it and if so go up a spine and then load up the foc.

I just subscribed to your channel and I like it very much. Might you possibly consider making a video showing proper form from a treestand. I recently switched from the training wheels, and I find canting the bow more than a little(I like a little tilt) throws my shots and form off. But from a stand knees and stuff get in the way when shooting more vertically. Can you help with this?

What was the distance to the target when you were bareshaft tuning? I thought you said 15 yards minimum in another video, but I want to be sure of the distance when I do this.
@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998
@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998 10 ай бұрын
Yes sir you need to be at least 15 yards from the target to really see what it’s doing, we were only about 10 yards on this video but we usually have a very easy tune with Hoyt Satori unlike a lot of wood bows lol thanks brother!

Has anyone ever requested a raised rest like a Bear Weather Rest or is the Satori strictly off the shelf? I would thing a raised rest would mess with the tiller settings? Thank you,

I have a 19", 21" Satori and 19" Buffalo, with a 30.5 draw and always a long limb, I have found they seem to want to be on a higher brace height unfortunately. Also Hoyt does not follow AMO string standards. They have recommend .25 longer on their string charts. 67.25 for a 70", down to 59.25 for a 62" bow. Hoyt's Satori string is actually not bad as it is a soft D97 and also at the exact string length they recommend. I love that OD Green, I think it may want to come home with me.

Can you give the description of the arrow components (wrap color and length and feather color and length) and where they were purchased. I want my arrows to look the same way those Goldtip traditionals do! My draw length and weight are pretty much identical as what you covered in the video and I'm struggling with my current arrow setup as its to heavy. Out past 23 yards my arrows drop off dramatically and I want to run the weight that you've setup in the video. Thanks in advance!

Hey Mr.Jeff I have tried mimicking your satori setup it’s a 19 inch riser , velos long limbs my draw is 29.5 I bought the Hunter xt 400 and it’s knock left bad with 100gr insert 125 field point from ethics archery is the an easier way to contact you? If it comes down to it I’ll send everything to you lol

When you talk about weight on an arrow and a heavier arrow punches through a target with the same pound bow at 20 yards that you're shooting to give me the 30 yds the weight of that arrow that is flying through the air has more kinetic energy on impact

@@WhiteMike467 both are great risers but the Das has a jager low 2.0 grip option and the Hoyt factory grip is less than desirable, you can order an R-Core Master grip for the Hoyt and then they’re fine just expensive I just really like the Das bow a lot and I sell them all the time just a better bang for the buck and very easy to shoot 👍🏻

We do apologize for that lol hopefully it didn’t confuse anyone I definitely meant if the shaft was too weak we’d have to start cutting but I did mention that if it was too stiff all we had to do was add weight up front I caught it also after the video had been uploaded but thanks for watching!

Anybody notice a kind of "humming"/vibration in the riser after the shot? Is that a metal riser thing or does it come from a wrong string? Of course i use puffs on the string.
