I’ve gotta say, this is probably my favorite DA-40 video every. Amazing description of everything you do. Amazing job sir.

I wish wish wish wish, the DA-40 had retractable gear. I like the da-40 better than the 50. If the Da-40 had retractable gear it would be the PERFECT airplane for sure. It could even be manual gear retract and that would still be perfect, just like the old Mooney M20 Super 21.

I’ll be watching/listening to this perfectly made video to sleep hoping to fly this beauty myself one day. I cannot believe how good your instructors are, not just great pilots but great human beings and that’s success ladies and gentlemen. Just don’t go anywhere until the pandemic is over Avier, I’m coming for you :) Greetings from Çanakkale/Troy!

Is there a DA-40 Aviation dealer for Broward County, FL where I can get more information about this aircraft new or used?

Regarding the use of the ForeFlight checklist during pre-takeoff, I am curious to your thoughts of read-and-do versus a flow pattern followed by the checklist. The combination of doing this as a read-and-do and tapping the app on the phone seemed to result in a lot more heads down time and could affect situational awareness. It seemed to lengthen the amount off time to complete it and constantly going back and forth between the controls/gauges and the phone could lead to missed items. Would doing a flow pattern, followed by then reading the checklist and verifying that items were accomplished be a good method here?

I definitely agree with that thought. The tap and move on feature can be turned off or on for that very reason. I do go back and forth depending on certain factors, including use of automation as an assistant, etc. But the overriding consideration is absolutely "fly the plane" and "heads up." Thanks for the thoughtful comment.

What is your average cruise speed at a modest/non-economy power level? My flight club has a da40 and wondering if it’s a big difference compared to snail 172’s
@Brontosauredumarais3 жыл бұрын
About 110-120 knots, so I’m guessing 10-15 knots faster than a 172 maybe?

What good is a checklist if you don't follow it? The Foreflight checklist is a good thing.... If you read it and follow it. As with any checklist.

@@DerekFromBK Don't be so quick to know. Sometimes I have seen different CFI's tinker with this part due to different reasons. Hence my question....

It’s been a dream of mine for years to become a private pilot! I know that I hold myself back! I live very close to Avier and I have reached out but I am terrified to go through with it. Idk why. At least I get to watch the amazing videos!

Brandon you are a long time dead. This life is fleeting. I’d say go for it. I had about 40 hours training on a C152 before I ran out of money. Flying solo for the 1st time was one of the best things I have experienced in all my life. Go for it dude

That was ForeFlight! Some subscription levels require an upgrade, but I do like the product.
