One night camping in Big Bend, there looked to be a fire on the horizon to the east towards Mexico. It kept getting bigger and brighter. It took me a good 5 minutes to figure out I was witnessing the most epic full moon rise I had ever seen 😂. Your comment about the moon looking like a fireball reminded me of this story. I love those dark skies in far West Texas!

I know exactly what you are talking about with the moon coming up over the mountains. You just have to be silent and enjoy the moment. Thanks for watching the project as always.

Beautiful day from beginning to end Simon. You picked a good day to do insulation. Your home will be insulated like a thermos. You are so meticulous in your work. A real craftsman. Love all of the views you shared...including the grilled pork loin. In the east - my area, that is the best value cut these days. Don't understand why it is not more popular. You cut those chops just right 😊👍

The little house should hold its temperature well when I get the time to finish it up all the way. Pork it definitely the best value as far as meat goes in south Texas, too. Thanks for watching the progress as always.

Definitely a shower after insulation work. I never enjoyed working with that stuff. Wow, glad there wasnt a fire after that fuse block melted. Chops looked great.

Given that you only have 3 weeks per year to work on this project, it's no surprise that everything takes so long. However you seldom forget quality (such as the size or capacity of some of your electrical equipment) all of your work is outstanding, and, by the way, this project seems to be your hobby(ies) and that's great. When you are done, you may retire but at least the time you put in out here will be totally worth it. As you go along, this work will keep you in shape and should keep you healthy. You are a master of tools, what they can do, how to use them, etc. There are two areas where you are absolutely outstanding: using the Kubota and welding-without getting into carpentry, masonry, electricity, cooking (even for the folks at home). I'm also from the Chihuahua Desert, but about 150K south of the border. El Paso was my entry point and that's where I picked up my US passport, since my parents were both born near the border (mother: El Paso; father: Thatcher Arizona). As a youngster, I picked up many of the skills you have, except that I was never as good at it as you. My father was much more like you, being able to mill wood, weld metals, build, especially with adobe: he had an egg ranch where we cared for up to 15,000 chickens and built everything we needed. Anyway, I didn't mean to make this about me, but this way you may know what I'm talking about. Keep on working at your own pace and some day you will have something wonderful that you can enjoy with leisure! Hasta pronto!

Thanks for the compliment and following along with the project. It seems you have watched quite a few of the videos on my little channel. I did like hearing a little back story from you. Thanks for sharing. I'll keep building a little at a time at the ranch until something changes.

Yes, I really enjoy watching you work 4:18 and and seeing the progress. How long have been in El Paso? Your English is too good to be a native elpaseno. (See an enie)

@RMCluff I live in the Houston area, which is where I'm from as well. I wish I could live in El paso, but for now, I'll just have to travel back and forth to the ranch. Hopefully, here in a couple of years, I'll get to be at the ranch full-time.

@RMCluff I have been doing the trips back and forth for ten years now to the ranch. It has been a slow process, but I have made good progress for the time I have.

From what I have seen of your house it looks small. With seeing you work on the walls upsairs in seems to be small. Just 1 bedroom space. Since you have 2 small kids wondering how many bedrooms you have & where they are if you don't think that's being to nosey in my part. The light seemed bright while you were putting up that sheetrock. Good to be able to see what you are doing. That was something seeing where that fuse melted. Glad you caught it in time to not have a fire or major damage. You do great work. A real craftsman

Thanks for following along with the ranch build as always. The little house is my retirement place of living. It is really just intended to be for my wife and myself. I will build a bunch of other little houses at the ranch out of stone. They will be for other people and the kids, when grown, but for now, I'm trying to mainly focus on the pond and road. The little house has one bedroom upstairs downstairs is the living room and restroom, but for now, it serves as a bedroom for the kids, too. Yes, I'm glad I checked on the electric system that might have been a bad situation.

Thanks for following along as always. Currently, I am making a video cutting up a large live oak trunk. That is almost 2 m across with my 14 inch. Electric chainsaw into pieces small enough fit into my little wood burning stove. I'm sure you'll appreciate what you can do with enough time and patients.

Note taken, sorry, something bad audio slips through. The biggest problem I have is not enough time to watch all the video footage I filmed. Usually, I just film the whole time I'm there working, and then when I get back to the house is when I have time to actually go through and edit. That's when I found there was a problem, but at that point it's too late. Thanks for watching the project.

Good question, and thanks for watching. I haven't looked into it, but it's not a bad idea. I know a lot of people would love to see the progress at the ranch go faster and that all boils down to money in the end. With enough income from the channel and revenue associated with it, I could be at the ranch full-time. The only thing holding me back is not enough time to make the magic happen faster.
