RNG had it out for me in this one: 2 shades, a Jinn (couldn't guess that one), and finally I was given mercy with a Yurei that literally ripped the door off its hinges

I got a shade too. I had to afk 1 hour for a hunt. At least that was a better challenge than the previous one for sure.

I absolutely love Phasmophobia but whoever designs these challenges probably doesn't play/test them beforehand to see how stupid some of them are. Something can be both fun and challenging. Making it tedious/annoying does not add to the difficulty factor. This one is a perfect example. Why is there no Music Box? It literally plays music. The ghost sings. Why is there no EMF? It literally makes a sound when it detects something. Need a hunt to figure out the ghost? Have fun spending 30+ minutes in complete darkness doing absolutely nothing. Amateur difficulty? Ah, yes, my first instinct as a new player would be to go to the biggest map in the game once I unlock it. There are other major annoyances such as the difficulty multiplier options related to player speed, as well as the bone and temperature mechanics and more. If I could work as QA for them, I certainly would given the chance.

About Amateur difficulty i can confirm. I only started this week. I have 20 hours in this game, guessed ghost like 5 times. And the only map i go to is first one.

The point of emf is not making sounds. It points on the object with which ghost interacts, and gives you evidence or not. Not the sound, so this is trаsh argument

Got demolished by 2 Goryos and 1 Yurei, all 3 ghosts did absolutely nothing while I hang out in the ghost room for half an hour. Was fun :)

this one was definitely way better with friends, especially with the headcam being an option, haha. we got sorta lucky with our ghosts as well tbh. Shade, Banshee, and a Polter! friend heard The Scream within minutes, and the Polter did the world's loudest item explosion while we were just messing around in its room for ages. lmao

I expected to suffer doing this week's challenge, but it actually ended up being a fairly painless process due to all the secondary evidence knowledge I've picked up from watching Insym's streams and videos.

in this challenge i had a 50/50 guess between jinn and goryo. emf 5 was the only evidence (can't get goryo dots without a camera). i ruled out everything else. none of the ghosts can change favorite room because of the settings so i can't use that to figure out goryo. and with broken breaker the jinn is completely normal ghost. after 40 minutes i just guessed goryo and left. i guessed wrong

gave me a good idea for other challenges involving hunts. 1. try to figure out a ghost until the ghost hunts, once it hunts you must go back to the truck and make your choice. 2. you cannot be holding any items during a hunt, when a hunt starts you must drop all your items and can only pick them up again when the hunt ends.

I like to watch your vids to decide whether I'm gonna do the week's challenge. This one gets a hard pass from me. My computer already gets choppy on big maps, and after having to deal with that on high school, this one just doesn't inspire me to want to do it, especially as it's even more difficult with half the evidence items.

ALL reflections are the inside of the truck with the doors closed. Take a look at glass surfaces and you'll see it. Even the reflections of the monitors inside the truck reflect a truck with the door closed when the doors are open.

Luckily all three ghosts were relatively close for me (all in main wing). Another tip: the headcam tier 1 can find ghost orbs and the activity monitor is EMF.

I surprisingly enjoyed the challenge, cause it made me do things I wouldn't normally do like finally using sound sensors. We got two phantoms back to back, which is also kinda lucky, then got screwed by yurei in a doorless room. So overall not a complete disaster we expected it to be 😂

I swear some of these challenges are so easy then some next to impossible Edit and another thing how is emf not audio but the book is emf screeches with a sound whenever a ghost interacts with something book just makes a writing sound once

I remember the prison challenge no sanity one when I first started playing Phasmo. I was dumbfounded how can anyone in their right mind do this. My amateur tanglewood playing ass simply entered the map and the ghost started to hunt immediatelly just few meters away from me in the lobby 😂 I think it was Moroi if I remember it was fast af.

Did this weekly with my 2 friends and we got Demon (hunt pretty early so it gave away), Wraith and Phantom (thanks to one of us bringing in the camera to take DOT pics), finding the ghost room was abit pain and we scream to each other everytime we heard a noise on paramic lol

I bought the game because of watching you for years now. I am having trouble finding the ghost room. I just cant pinpoint from where is the sound coming from. Maybe make a small tutorial how to find ghost rooms with Tier 1 equipment??

Go in the house, turn breaker on, main lights on, and go into a room with ur thermometer out for a couple of seconds. If the temp doesn't drop, then move to a different room and repeat the process until you enter a room and the temperature drops a lot. Some tips that can help you know if the ghost is in a room is if you see your breath, or if its interacting a lot in it, but the thermometer will always confirm the ghost room if it drops a lot.

the doors all start closed in this is the sole reason i could do it with my horrible hearing. grabbed a friend and got ghost orbs a few times with the t1 headcam

I found a couple doors open all over the map on all three of our attempts. Our ghost was downstairs on the right every time, in the rooms near the squicky room.

Me and my friend found the ghost by looking at the cameras from the van. Found ghost orbs, grabbed a candle and asked it to blow out the candle if they were a revenant. Instant candle blowout and it was a revenant. Insane ghost communication xD

I played with friends and we had really good luck, the first round was a demon (early hunt), then a banshee (got a scream), then a yurei (did ability right in front of me)

I use the video camera for the ghost room....ghost orbs while walking around is legit, just because you dont do it doesn't mean no one does, Insym.

Setup time doesn't affect sanity drain itself, it just prevents hunts from happening in any form and sanity can't drop below 50 %

Playing with friends makes this challange so much easier since we could use headcams to look for orbs lol. Still sucks not having uv or temps. Got fooled by a mimic and jinn.

On the first run with this challenge we heard a Banshee scream before we even found the ghost room, then, had I not been reminded what a Banshee scream sounds like on that first run, I would have easily fallen for that fake shriek we got on the second run. This challenge nearly broke us because of a damn Wraith though.

Good Idea or Bad Idea? ........ Add an optional Briefcase item for challenges where you must collect all of your other items and other things that you find inside of the haunted places for more evidence than just photo evidence and if you don't collect all your stuff and required other items found inside those places you somehow won't be able to complete the mission or it is for added extra credit to get more money in the game.

I use video camera to make sure I know what Im looking at. I just have bad eyes and the brightness setting only does so much. So when im staring at a black screen with a smidge of dimly lit screen in the center, its just makes playing frustrating because I cant navigate.

I first got the most active shade ever, then an oni that did nothing, a deogen, banshee (with scream) and a yurei (slammed a door in my face)

I didn't hate this nearly as much as I did last weeks. Starting with closed doors was godsend. Still, I ended up with a shade/myling gamble twice. I had 0 patience to wait for a hunt IoI

I got the first one right because I found the ghost room immediately and narrowed it down to the twins. I miraculously guessed it right because the ghost would throw a book while simultaneously making noises aways away in another room. Dont know how, but i did it. Then I went into the 2nd round and got bored vecause nothing was happening and left. Haha

Took my five tries, two were mimics (one of which I guessed because it did a polter ability when it couldn't be a polter), forget the other three. The two I got wrong were a mimic I mistook for a Demon and an Obake I mistook for something else... forget what exactly.

the first round i played for this challenge i guessed it was either twins or poltergeist and turned out to be a mimic and then the next two rounds i got twins and then a poltergeist 😂 the game was trolling me. i got the worst ghost room ever (the kitchen) and it came down to be a 50/50 based off context clues between goryo and jinn and got it wrong.. i then got a moroi but forgot to enter it in the journal 😫 and then finally guessed yurei correctly based off it's ability. difficult challenge indeed 👍

The problem with this challenge is that is was introduced before the equipment changes, when we could still get fingerprints by taking a photo and tell freezing temps by breath, but it was never adapted after that.

Has anyone had any early hunting bugs happen? I had a Shade and Deo hunt me after only 3 minutes in Tanglewood with only a 26% sanity drain. (No cursed items were used)

I usually play the weekly with a friend but after 3 long games of not getting any evidence or 1 at max and guessing the wrong ghost type, we quit. Horrible challenge.

What a stupid and unfun challenge. I stopped playing this game a while ago when the devs forgot that "annoying" and "challenging" are two different things. It's still fun to watch, but to make a challenge that is so time consuming to do, and then you can still end up with ghosts (Yurei, Jinn, Goryo) that you just can't figure out or require specific rooms and positions to figure out... It's just... bad. The player isn't your enemy, CJ.
