Para Eyes really is my favorite Observation Duty style game. It takes all of the elements of OD that I like and enhances them, then takes what I don't like away almost entirely. I love that it's more interactive with the point-and-click feature, and watching these videos really gets me thinking about other ways to play this style of game... It's honestly inspiring me to want to learn to code, mod, and create things. I think I'll start looking into that now - the dev's creativity really is great!

the thing with the wendigo being renamed cannibal is probably that wendigo is not a generic monster, but is a very specific thing in some native american lore. And despite what other games/stories/etc. have done it can be highly disrespectful to those cultures to include it in something like this. So i'd assume someone requested the dev to change it, and they obliged.

I hope they make an interactive mode. Like instead of the game randomly generating anomalies, the chat chooses anomalies from a list of anomalies of each video. They get randomly chosen to pick an anomaly from that list but just for one camera. The game chooses when to pick someone. The game can issue someone to choose an anomaly in random intervals or in a predetermined amount of time. This way the audience can interact with the streamer. But of course since they are streaming, the ones that get choosen should not be able to use chat for maybe 5 min so they do not tell the streamer what they chose. I said 5 min because anomalies usually get found out pretty fast. Although, as proven when he didn't notice one anomaly for so long, there are some anomalies that will be hard to find but the audience can help after a set amount of time to help. Also, the options of anomalies to choose from should have differing amounts of time before they can be done again. That way there are varieties in the anomalies and also so that two audience members do not end up choosing the same anomaly seconds after it was made by another. I wonder if someone make a game like that or make a modded version of the available "Observation Duty" type games

to answer your question abt the fire alarm, yes some of them are out in the open but ours spray ink on the persons hands so then the cops/firefighters can see who pranked the school/any where. (that’s your answer:D)

for us in highschool they have ink on the fire alarm, so they can see who pressed the button (we have a glass which you have to break just to press the button)

There was infact a design that locked the alarm puller to the alarm to prevent false alarms, though due to obvious safety issues it was not kept Now the alarms spray a ink that stains the hand of the puller so they can find out who it was as this ink doesnt wash off easily and it leaves a semi permanent stain on the skin

39:51 It doesn’t lock you in place. It would only lock the outer case of the alarm around your wrist. Basically you’d be given a big clunky bracelet.

Also, the fire alarms here, we have a special stain that can be seen with a blacklight, so to find out who pulled the alarm, you just need a uv flashlight. nother side note... you missed the trash can in the bathroom moving several times XD I remember when we did campground. there were backpacks that kept tripping you up. final thought! maybe the giant bloody footprints in the prison are the result of the Wendigo getting into the prison???

These games are pretty cool, the main problem with fnaf for me was that the game devolves into repeating a pattern (like checking both door lights and then bringing up the camera to stall foxy/freddy in fnaf 1)

To be fair, the wendigo is a big part of some Native American cultures, and it's frequently criticized when appropriated by others. In the myths of wendigos, they ate humans which is where "cannibal" comes from, though in some versions of the folklore a person can become a wendigo after resorting to cannabalism (though also via greed or being around wendigos in other versions) I hope this helped clear stuff up :)

So Insym. You mentioned if there was a punishment for guessing something wrong. IDK if the Dev has anything planned but since you have chance to talk to them, What do you think about if each time you get an incorrect anomoly scan, the amount and frequency of anomolies spawning increases? Keeping it simple just like the difficulty modes: 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x. OR make it more lethal by doubling it. 2x, 4x, 8x. So in theory if your a total CHAD of an I'm on Observation Duty gamer you could play on the hardest difficulty and to assert your CHAD-ly Dominance you have an additional slider for difficulty just by purposefully getting 3 scans wrong. I don't know about you but I think this would force people to focus more and get COMPLETELY caught off guard when the "surprise" anomalies pop into frame.

No, cameras in the bathroom are very illegal in all but very few high-risk or high-security prisons (at least where I live). Most prisons cannot even have officers guarding the bathrooms other than on same-gender, timed patrols, and the officers even need to be very careful during these not to appear to be looking directly at inmates, since it can be reported as a sexual assault charge. This is actually how a lot of contraband smuggling and illicit activity occurs in prisons, since the bathrooms cannot be effectively monitored. Source: My dad has worked at a number of different prisons, both private and state, over the past 9 or so years, and has had issues with this in the past, not because he did anything wrong, but because it is an easy to exploit weakness in the system.

him talking about fire alarms goes to show how dumb people can be as locking someone in place for pulling the alarm means that there will be a likely death meaning if you pull the alarm in a fire and the fighters don't show up in time you have no choice but to die and how do you get unlocked from the alarm anyways.

In the case of fire alarms being booby trapped, i grew up being told that if you pulled it, it would spray ink or some identifying mark on your hand so they knew who pulled the alarm.

Hey Insym, you might not be aware of all the controversy surrounding it, but I recommend avoiding Hogwarts Legacy. The creator of Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling, is known for being extremely transphobic as well as including racism and antisemitism in the series, either intentional or not it sucks. Buying the game directly supports her, and arguments of "but the developers!!" suck. People that worked on the game have already been paid, they don't get commission, and one of the lead developers wasn't a great person either, only getting removed from the team once that was uncovered. If you play it, it won't be the end of the world, but you might get some serious backlash.
