@Insym 37:10 Hermit card timer was 10 seconds. Hermit card lasts 60 seconds. However, it is worth noting and letting the community know, that the Hermit card (and others) do not affect Ghost Events nor Hunt locations, and as Insym pointed out, yes, Hermit card forces the Ghost room back to it's favorite room/ghost room, not locks it in the room it is in. They just typically tend to be the same, because usually the ghost is chilling in it's room, vibing. The Hunt can still occur from outside of the room. However, a Shade cannot normally hunt if in the same room as a player. So the only things that make this make sense is: 1) The Shade teleports to the room, but because it was teleported via cursed object, it can still hunt despite "literally" being in the same room. 2) You forced a Ghost event with the card, the Shade's Favorite Room/Ghost Room is now the hallway, you Hermit carded the Shade (which teleported it to the Hallway) and since it was now outside your room, and you were at 0 sanity, hunted within the next 10 seconds, and because it hunted from the hallway, it had line of sight on you when you ran into your hiding spot and it tracked you down. 3) eww, bug. Just what I was able to draw from this! Note: If the 2nd thing occurred, extremely unlucky for Insym xD I also have reason to believe the 2nd one occurred, because a Shade will not do events in the same room as a player as well as hunt, and it did both, but maybe a "forced" cohabitation via cursed object has higher priority in the code, which allowed it to overrule the Shade behavior... Just adding my thoughts ;)

Hermit cards trap the ghost in the ghostroom for 1 minute. This doesnt effect ghost events or hunts... its indeed a useless cards unless you want interactions, and you kinda have the tower for that

That honestly makes it worse for finding the ghost room. When the ghost does interactions not in its room, its typically still near it, giving you a wider area to help find it.

Could you please clarify what saying the ghost's name does? I used to think that saying the name and asking for a sign would increase the chance of getting an interaction, but I've also read that all that saying the name does is lower your sanity. Which, in itself might raise the chance of getting an event, but I'd like to understand the actual mechanic.

It does encourage ghost interactions, it does not drop sanity. I do think they changed it so its a bit less impactful. Swearing in general also encourages ghost interactions, if you watch some old speedruns you will see the runner cussing over and over and sometimes saying the ghost name as well to encourage interaction. To prove it doesnt drop sanity: go into an entrance, lights on, and say the ghost name as many times as you want. Your sanity wont drop.
