Competition is the greatest motivator in the business world. I disagree that the quality of vekoma and Mack is as good as intamin.

Quite honestly suprised that the BG/Seaworld owned chain would dive into working with them again as it was. We can see others seeking alternatives, and building them, even with the rides. I'd much rather the launch coasters be handled by Vekoma and if it's an efficient method let Zamperla fix the always broken down others. There is way too much downtime, and how long did it take to try and not build overheating and failing launch systems? I know the parks dived in but it's pretty ridicoulous when you can just point straight at SFGADV who weren't done after 2 broken coasters, they added a drop tower to it even when Hershey was like "no not another one." Mack can also do it too so why not just let them? Not saying intamin hasn't made some excellent coasters but it's pretty obvious the majority of them have way too much downtime, whether or not it's the build/make/intamin's fault or a slacking/poorly run park or not.

Zamperla is done. Top Thrill 2's issues ensure that. Zamperla doing Top Thrill 2 is the best thing that could've happened for Intamin cause now they can say "yea ours costs more. But see what happens if you go with them vs us? Just compare Red Force to Top Thrill 2 on up time, you tell me which you'd rather have".

I'm not even sure another manufacturer would've been capable of producing a ride like hagrids tbh. Falcons Flight at six flags quiddiya is another example of a ride only intamin could/would really build. RMC, despite being a very ambitious company, aren't really producing a product that can compete with intamin in terms of quality. It's rather safe to say that intamin's single rail prototype coaster has been experiencing far less issues than it's rmc counterpart. I wouldn't even considerit a weakness that they "copied" the single rail coaster considering A: single rail coasters existed before rmc and B: there's quite frankly nothing wrong with copying a coaster type when the track and trains are unique to the manufacturerer. How else did we end with multiple manufacturers producing their own suspended coasters, spinning coasters, multi-launch coasters, etc? Does this mean B&M "copied" intamin with the wing coaster concept considering furius baco opened in 2007 and raptor opened in 2011? Businesses simply adapt with their competition and intamin are no different to this lol

I don't know if you noticed the solution is the same as the reason for your argument. Parks hired Intamin to blow guests away. They wanted monster coasters that were 300ft, launched, 400ft, the fastest in the world! They wanted a 100mph coaster then bolt on a 400ft drop tower. A suspended coaster that launched out of a volcano. Hershey wanted a hyper in a shoebox. Parks shouldn't order stuff that's bonkers then expect it to be reliable. Intamin get's a bad reliability rap because they delivered what their customers wanted. Now they're not building crazy stuff, have good reliability and you want them to build something bonkers again?

@@NickyD hagrids is arguably the most complex ride system in the world, how would you not expect it to have issues? It also goes down for other factors such as wind speed due to the high amount of trees planted in the area making it risky to operate. For how complex the coaster is, it's fairly reliable.

No. I've counted, and there are over 7 Intamin Projects worldwide right now: Falcons Flight, Fuji Q Intamin, Catapult Falls, Arctic Rescue, Darkoaster, Batman, Toutatis just opened, Uncharted, Swingi, Danse Macabre, SeaWorld Dubai Intamin, Whale Touching The Sky. Also the rumors of Fast and Furious Hollywood Drift would bring another Intamin into the mix. I don't see how Intamin is going down. Sure they aren't as innovative as they used to be, but they still are definitely building big projects, especially in Europe. I think Intamin should be fine in America too as long as SeaWorld and Universal continue to work with them.

You make generalizations about the Hersheypark intamin, which simply are not true. Fahrenheit is pretty reliable and skyrush many times has lines of 40 to 60 minutes. To me That is not a disaster with the general public.

This is true. The Intamins at Hershey very reliable! And everyone claims that Skyrush is too much for the GP like i305 is, but that's straight bs. Skyrush always has a line and GP love it.

skyrush's line is consistantly less than half of Candymonium's. Storm Runner & Skyrush had several issues over the years & both had a ton of down time in the last 3 years.

@@Loopingthrills I’ve been to Hershey park for years and every time I’ve been there skyrush has had at least a 45 minute wait. I’ve been on quiet and busy days and needed to buy fastlane for the Intamin. Fahrenheit has an hour wait every day and storm runner has a 20 minute wait usually. Intamin is not in trouble. Not even close, yeah some Intamin rides have lousy downtime but I’ve been to over 15 parks with Intamin rides all over the world and they are never down and they usually have long waits. They make the best steel multi launch coasters out there and that’s what they do now. They are no where near danger.

bullshit skyrush had a lift chain snap in 2021 also very uncomfable reason why we have candymonum skyrush is very unreiable also never has a lune always a walk on GP hates that coaster slyrush never has a hour wait thats my home park im always there thats always a walk on

Falcon's Fury, Hagrid's both very One of a Kind rides. Look at how Hagrid's operates all of the track features and trains from a computer program. Not too mention it has a high speed switch track, track drop, and 7 launches. Pantheon which is the largest multi-launch coaster. RMC's cost too much in upkeep I've seen first hand, Steel Vengeance had a crash opening day, and look up any RMC and put accident next too it and tell me what you find. You need to know one thing in this industry, Cheap is not always the best and most reliable. Cheap things get more problems and more trouble. Look at most of the Intamin and B&M's from the 90's and 2000's. They're probably still there, Kumba turned 30 not to long ago.

not true rmc's are still being built everywhere intmain is done in america unless its universal uh intmain has had major accidents rmc hasnt killed anyone also SV was Ride operator error intmain shoot the rapids nearly killed 6 at CP in 2013 pantheon shuts down in 25 mph winds which is unaccpetable thre hasnt even been any accidents on a rmc bc the SV ride operator error issue intmain has had plenty your way wrong

Sure roller coasters do have downtime. I am a Hersheypark regular. Yes, the intamin’s go down but most of the time they run a couple years ago storm runner needed a part same with skyrush after it stopped on the lift hill. Otherwise, they are reliable. They are some of my favorite coaches if not, StormRunner is the best roller coaster in the world. They are the best manufacturer, hands-down Hersheypark better work with them again.
