I'm stuck. I don't want to knock this too hard, because I appreciate the attempt to include Integral Theory and Ken Wilber, which is incredibly powerful and life changing. And still I'd hate for someone to watch this and think the speaker is conveying *anything* accurate about Integral Theory. His "X" thing, that's not Integral. The main Integral frameworks use a quadrant system including 4 sections. Upper Left - Interior Individual Lower Left - Interior Collective Upper Right - Exterior Individual Lower Right - Exterior Collective I don't know what he was talking about with his 4. Do yourself a favor and watch videos of Ken Wilber himself explaining the Integral Model. Watch for "AQAL" short for "All quadrants, all lines, all stages, states, and types. THIS is when you are getting to the most truly comprehensive map of human experience ever made.

Sadly, he ended up in a place which had been his underlying story scripted beforehand. He spoke about his success all the way...another someone who took advantage of the spotlight to tell us about nothing, but personal achievement.

Simple , goals are vital in life and they are very important to set. They give us a sense of guidance and something to look forward to for all the hard work. BUT , goals are useless if not acted upon with massive ACTION ! Life is all about taking a chance and our goals mean nothing if we never talk that chance Peace from Ty

Great job on this talk!! You did an excellent job boiling down the complex topic of integral theory. Integral theory is one of the most fascinating and interesting development models there is, and it pushes us to think about ourselves in new and dynamic ways. Your examples do a superb job of driving home your main points, and your talk challenges people to think bigger. Thank you for sharing!

This is not Integral theory. Try the small introduction to Integral theory, a book called, The Integral Vision. But if Tony's talk gets you to Wilber, he's done a good service.

I just thought of something else. Think of an infinity symbol ♾. It's just a loop. The way we literally experience the integral theory is also a figure 8 loop from thoughts that turn to actions interacting with the place or environment your in creating your symbiotic relationships with every single thing you interact with. Then back to the next thought .

Very well delivered coming of age story. I missed the "Integral Theory" connection, but it did get me to click. Am I missing something or are TEDx's becoming dominated, as John Zhu mentions, by insufferable humble-brag's?

Hello Orange Tuono during the talk Tony has been showing the outline of the integral theory in that X of 4 spaces while narrating his story, that is to say, the theory was present in all the narration even if he did not mention it again. Cheers

Nice talk! I'm slowly becoming used to the checklist/what's-next-on-my-CV mindset and I can feel the novelty of the satisfaction of getting stuff done wear off, it was nice to listen to this, hopefully I can apply this!

Excellent Faiza, I recommend you to know the integral theory created by Ken Wilber that is fascinating, he has many books available. Could you start with "Brief history of all things" or "The integral vision" Greetings

I didn't feel like this was easy to relate to. Not everyone has the luxury of "finding themselves" by traveling and coming back with new perspectives. I get that getting rid of thoughts that do not serve you is a beneficial exercise, but it seems like goals are still necessary for all.

Igitha the moral would be "live more comprehensively", that is, including all aspects of your experience, the details it tells are only anecdotal and circumstantial, but they give life to the narrative

Why is it always business people who find themselves without a belief system and a sense of meaning? All the wisdom contained in a meta analysis of all theology and philosophy and his conclusion is: 'have kids'. A tradesman with an IQ of 90 could have told him that. Anyway, this didn't explain anything about Integral Theory, nor show why it's better than any pre-existing belief system.

This is a post-truth TED Talk. Ken Wilber's Integral Theory is anything you want it to be. No need to read all that bothersome information from Ken. Just draw 4 quadrants and they can be anything you want!
