I just wished the due dates for the tasks in planner showed up on the MS Teams calendar. It’d be nice to see my personal tasks in conjunction with all of my other events, or meetings.

All I want is Microsoft to understand that it’s common to have several accounts. I’m involved inn 4 companies, and I’m unable to see all my tasks/todos across them. It’s driving me insane!

Great vid. Thanks. Only just found your channel. Love it. I work for an org' which uses MS 365 and all the apps that come with it. I'd assumed i could generate a single list of tasks for a user. For example, if i am assigned tasks/ actions from MS Project web, planner, outlook etc. they could automaticall be pulled into one view e.g. 2 "to do". Is this possible currently or is this what the new offering you have outlined in your vid provides? Cheers

Thank you for this information. Do you know if there will be any way to share a planner board with other Teams in a read only style permission? I am struggling right now with a project where I would like others to be able to see my planner board, but only see it. Not have any kind of edit capabilities. Any ideas?

This is heavily needed. I gave Microsoft a chance after being a Mac user for many years and bought an Office license just to manage my daily tasks and projects more easily. I was hoping to replace Trello with Planner and have the tasks synced to the Outlook client for daily tracking of the tasks from Planner. But gosh...what a mess Microsoft has built. 4 apps for tasks in: Planner, Outlook, Todo app and Teams, and they don't really sync well together. Just a mess... You describe this dilemma very well. Hope Microsoft sees your video.

Currently planner is only available with a business subscription. Todo is the only thing available for a personal or family subscription. If they're all being combined, does that mean I'll be able to use a planner within my family or personal subscription? Also, there's no way to make a personal plan in planner. When I make a new plan I have to link it to a team or a group. Todo is the only thing I can use if I want to track my own tasks at work. Will this new program allow me to make a planner plan that's just for me so I can create buckets to keep things organized? To do is just far too simplistic.

I think if you have Project licenses, these will convert into the Premium Planner ones…

Will they be bringing in proper backup and be able to copy/move plans between Teams? Stuck with loads of active planners in otherwise dead Teams simply because you can't migrate them without losing some (often essential) information. This is one of my main gripes doing anything in Teams. Once an app is tied to a Team, it's most likely stuck there.

Do we know if they're fixing Planner to allow comments to be edited/deleted by the user or admin? That's a HUGE failing currently .. comments can't be deleted even if they are made in error or including information that should NOT be there. (We are in health care and can't allow people to use planner because of the risk that they might include a client name in comments, for example, when that can't be fixed!)

Planner = crap To-Do = crap Teams' tasks = crap Outlook tasks = nice but primitive Project on web = Emazing but minimalistic New Planner > 80% will be a hybrid crap. Just look at new Outlook view.. > Extreme crap compared to existing outlook and even legacy. Microsoft trying to become Google productivity minimalistic featureless crap suites. Hope I'm, super wrong.

Yep It's a complete unorganized mess at the current state. We have MS 365 at my company but I use a 3rd party app, TickTick, because its way easier to use for task management then any of their poorly implemented half baked task management apps.
