Sir I solved it I a slightly different manner that firstly I found the integral assuming ax2+bx+1 and then I put the coefficient of log which I got after integration as 0 to make it a rational function and then got f'(0) as 3

@@gaminglegend5535 but if marking scheme is like that of 2016 or 2008 then you will need to mark all correct answers to get Marks i.e no partial marking.... So be careful....

Sir I got the answer in another way, but i am not sure whether its correct or not. Assume f(x) = ax^2 + bx +c, since f(0) = 1, value of c=1. Now assume g(x) = the integral given, so g'(x) = f(x)/[x^2(x+1)^3] [applying lebinitz rule, although limits are not specified i think it may not be considered correct]. Hence f(x) = g'(x) * [x^2(x+1)^3]. Now for finding f'(x), differentiate both sides, rhs differentiate using product rule. On observation, we see that each term of rhs differentiation will give = 0 when we substitue x=0, except one term, which is when we differentiate the numerator term of (x+1)^3. Hence only relevant value of rhs differentiation becomes g'(x) * 3(x+1)^2 * [other remaining variables of x (they cancel and give 1)] Hence now putting x = 0, f'(0) = g'(0)* 3 * (0+1)^2 = 1* 3 * 1 = 3 [as g'(0) value is known from f(0)]

f(x) is quadratic. At 3:09 , f(x)=B(x+1)³+Dx²(x+1)+ Ex² On simplifying, f(x)= Bx³+(....) + Dx³+(.....) +Ex² =(B+D)x³+.....+ Ex². But since f(x) is quadratic, RHS should also be quadratic=> B+D must me 0.
