Depending on the game, Intel IGPs have been quite competent for some time now. ARC just continues that trend into AIC GPUs and I hope it doesn't die.

Would you still consider arc a bank for the buck after considering some amd cards like rx 6600? Dont you think amd provides the best value for money right now?

Depends on where you live. Where I live, an Arc A770 only costs a little more than an RX 6600 (4099kr vs. 3499kr) but provides way better performance in modern AAA games. However, if you want to play older games which don't use DirectX 12 or Vulkan without worrying about driver compatibility, go for the 6600. The performance gap will also be smaller between the two GPUs in older games. This might get fixed with driver updates from Intel in the future though. Also, you have to consider resizable BAR. If you're using an old motherboard and processor, you won't be able to turn on ReBAR to unlock the Arc's full potential, in which case I'd go for the 6600 instead. When it comes to upscaling, image quality using XeSS with an Arc A750/A770 seems to fall somewhere between what FSR and DLSS can provide. Last time I checked (about a month ago), the Arc GPUs don't fully support VR yet, but this is allegedly being worked on and should finish soon. On paper, the specs suggest that the A770 would be a good card for VR. Hope this helps. Personally I'm getting an A770 as soon as VR has been sorted out. Cheers.

if arc 770 with 16gb vram is priced at 330 usd this is a good deal, cause it provides longevity(the card might serve 5 years) 6600 with 8GB vram is about 220 usd or less, is good value, but newer games ported from console require more vram to run @ 1440p for 1k with newer games maybe 6600 is ok, maybe even coupled with FSR 1 or 2 it gives good results. So, both gpus are good. the Arc provides 2/3 ray trace performance of similar nvidia cards 3060~3070 raytracing might not be important for all games, but some games do utilize it. It depends on your budget, also know that arc gpuz benefit lots from XeSS the upscaler. Some times its turned on automatically without users knowing that, this is one of the reasons it performs good in 4K. Maybe RX 6700 XT is better choice than 6600. it has 12GB vram. this might work good with 1440p resolution. but 1080p I think rx 6600 is still good.
