I think the comparison is not completely correct done. E.g. the motherboard for the 12th gen. = 2x of 11th gen. So that costs +150usd. If you decide to got for DDr5, you also spend +100usd extra (but that's optional). Nowadays, the i5 12th gen. is same price as i7 11th gen.

@@royalvlogger2093 i just found a video about non k overclock and well as expected... only a few high-end motherboard have that BCLK overclock feature so...it does works but i don't think the MSI b660m MAG MORTAR will have that feature ( the one i intend to pair mine with ) and it's more effective on lower end models like the 12400...the gains from 12600 is minimal so i'll gladly take the non k and hope i can overclock with that board in case i'd like to do that...the k model is 25% more expansive and consume more watts for what? 0-1% better performance?

B660 as it is not overclockable if you are buying 12600k then go for z690 chipset board

So...I have the i7-8700. I just bought the i7-11700. Did I screw up? I compared the two PLUS the i5-12600 and it's the fastest. WOW. Looks like ima have to cancel the purchase.
