I love the 7950x3d, maybe because I like tweaking it to my hearts content. I love full control of my system and because of what it offers. Although, I feel like for the average user who does not want to tweak and wants everything to work out of the box, the 7800x3d is the way to go. I’m certain once AM6 or whatever it’s called is out, the “issue”with the 7950x3d will be streamlined and fixed across the board. It’s very subjective about the 7950x3d I think it’s an awesome chip but it just requires extra steps to get working fully.

that's exactly the problem, i don't mind tweaking with my system, but the average consumer, even a lot of enthusiasts just want to plug n play the new cpu, update bios and call it a day, having to do tweaking, searching for a specific bios, then bios settings so the cpu runs properly, and still being somewhat unstable if something wasn't done properly or you got bad silicon, when getting a non 3D one, or the 7800X3D, or an intel chip requires little to no input after updating bios.

The stutter story came from Ryzen 3000 chips at the beginning of Warzone back in 2020. Persisted into Ryzen 5000 with about 75% of the issue fixed. Only game that was unplayable was Jedi Survivor at launch, 1% dips to 17 FPS while 13900K was about 65 FPS. Patch fixed that though
@Beefy-Tech Жыл бұрын
Yup... The whole dual CCD allocation issue was also huge as most people didn't tweak anything to make sure ccds wouldn't swap mid games. I had a 5900x and tons of issues due to that ccd bleed that'd eventually happen and cause terrible performance until a restart in warzone 1. All that is easily fixable with process lasso today luckily lol.

@@Beefy-Tech The Stutter story is also being immortalized by Jufes (FrameChasers) because this dude hates on AMD 24/7. I have the 7800X3D and it does have worse 1% lows on some of the games I play vs. the 13900k. In sim racing games like iRacing and ACC it is amazing and never dips, but on games like Rust and Squad it does stutter and skips some frames when thing get messy. I've seen as low as 40 fps 1% on constant 140 avg no matter how I set it up, however, these are very unoptimized games. I'm not gonna complain much because I'm coming from a 5600x

I just swaped from the 7800x3d, mainly because of stutters in a variety of games (FPS). I tried almost everything i could found related to this "issue" without success. RAM: 6000cl30, GPU:RTX4080. Now I'm running i7 14700k with 7200cl34 and I can say 0.1% are indeed higher as well as temperature and power consumption, average fps are lower but then I play on 3440x1440 @144hz so I don't acually need the average fps to be at 300-400 fps since I am limited by my monitor and also by the GPU. Windows on the ryzen also seemes "laggy" sometimes, maybe that also help with my decision to switch to blue team.

If you plan to do any other setup on intel other than that, don't you'd be wasting your time. I think the 7950x3D is the best consumer grade CPU in the world if you know how to set it up and get the right RAM and manually configure the timings. I understand that all that can be intimidating to most, but it wasn't designed for most. And if you want a 7800x3D with no fuss, just disable the second CCD and you have a 7800x3D. If you need the extra cores, then reenabled them. But the difference in most games between the 7800x3D and 7950x3D is very small, so there really isn't ever a need to disable the second CCD. I think so many of us have become FPS chasers to a degree that we forget the difference between 300fps and 280fps isn't really a big deal. Once you hit a certain number you really don't feel it anymore. P.S. I think the 7950x3D will improve at handling the CCD's correctly overtime as drivers are improved. It sucks that software limits our hardware to the degree it does, but it is what it is.

To be fair, 7950x3d gets awesome scores but to get there...it's a funny process🤣 there's like 7 different steps that must be taken in a perfectly correct order, but when done right it functions great.

Windows 10 is faster, dont fall for the w11 scheduler bullshit, easily -5 to 10% less performance just HT OFF + E-CORE ON, RING + CORE OC = ez 500+

Windows 11 23H2 + Revi OS applied is actually on par or better in every regard. I only tried it recently too, and it's the first time I've seen W11 win in gaming outright. The key is to have version 23H2 and Revi OS applied together! Give it a shot if you have time and let me know how it is. I've also been using W10 Revi OS until now and it's been the best, but as of 23H2, W11 has come ontop.

@@Beefy-Tech I was bored so I decided to try this yesterday, around 10-15% slower depending on the game compared to my debloataed W10. 23H2 clean install + Revi OS like you mentioned, 13900KS + 4090.

@@Yahfz to be fair, I was mostly comparimg W10 22H2 Vs W11 23H2 as I didn't realize W10 had the update too. I'll check it out so I can fairly compare it. Currently though, the highest ever CPU score I've ever seen on Warzone 2 comes directly from a W11 23H2 + revi OS install, at 601 average FPS for the MW3 benchmark with a golden bin 7950X3D and DDR5 8000 CL32 kit.
