My Intel Core i9 14900K overvolted itself, oxidized and degraded to death on finals at Nursing school, so my hand was forced to switch to AMD, it was well worth it with the 7800X3D. Also replacing the iconic Intel Core i9 branding with Intel Core Ultra 9 (simply sucks in comparison) was just one of the dumbest decisions by Intel.

Quite an awful accomplishment by Intel. I hope Intel can turn it around before Turin…oh wait…AMD EPYC Turin is already released and chainsawing Intel Xeon in half as always! Intel Xeon continues to deliver mediocrity, compared to the TITANS EPYC, Threadripper, Apple Silicon, Snapdragon X Elite 2 and NVIDIA Vera Rubin! I used to favor Intel given their fame and brand recognition. However, over the years AMD has better performance in all cases against Intel. The PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One X, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PS5 Pro all have one thing in common: their processors are all powered by AMD technology. The only console that I know that is powered by Intel processors is the original Xbox.

Intel and AMD need to improve. Intel's prices are too high for their specs, while the Mac M4 offers great performance at a lower cost. A Mac mini M4 could be cheaper than building an AMD setup that matches its performance. AMD is not the ideal choice for video editing or Adobe software applications. In comparison, Intel and Nvidia perform well in these tasks...

Everything I build/bought since then has been only Intel and NVidia. Intel was less headache in term of crashing software's/programs. Amd line up currently is very interesting to me in specs, but I am afraid to return to failing and crashing cause of software operating on it. A lot has changed since then so I do wonder how well it performs in today standards. Only way to know is to use them and gain your own experience, but that can be very costly.
