Thank you again but just for edification and the possibility to help someone else I want to tell you what happened. As stated before my Intelliflow pump would not shut off. I have an older i5 Pentair control system. You had recommend checking the relay which after checking closely had both supply and load voltage under one screw so it was bypassing the relay. So one screw on one side with two wires underneath and one screw on the other side of the relay with two wires underneath because it is 220 Volts. Basically, it had the same effect as putting supply and load under a wire nut. On Off and On, I had heard the relay click so I knew the relay was working, but the pump would not shut off. The problem I had was it had been installed by a previous owner and had worked for at least 18 years like this so I was leary to change wiring but when I saw a schematic I knew I was right.. I had worked on the inside control panel and deleted some unnecessary programming and that started the problem. I wired the relay correctly and it is working fine. On and off manually and when controlled by timer or indoor panel Originally, I had CLEANER in the Main Screen and another CLEANER in Features and when I deleted it the trouble began. I believe the pump was being controlled NOT by the relay but from the programming which is bad wiring. Even though it was wrong it worked like that for 18 years. My wife gave me an earful and told me not to touch anything but with your help we got through. Thank you again. Flowers and chocolates and all is good here and thanks again.

@@SPL Thank you for the reply! My pool came without a remote, so I have to control everything through the actual control panel. My pool guy said to just buy the remote, but hard to know which one will work on it and now that I am learning it wont come with a feature to control it remotely via mobile app, I kind of feel like just swapping out the entire thing. When you say an upgrade kit, do you mean the entire system?

I have a question, what do I do if my spa mode isn’t turning the actuator to cut off the pool suction? The actuators work okay manually - Thanks in advance

Could be a bad actuator. I would replace it.

Can the inside touch panel adjust the valves, for instance all day my pool pump runs, and delivers 1/2 of the water back into the spa and 1/2 of the water back into the pool, so the waterfall is a trickle. If I go outside to the main panel and put it into service or timeout mode I can press the valves button twice and then it changes the output to be 100% the spa and the waterfall is full force. Can the inside panel control those valves too? I have the same setup you are showing in this video.

Yes, you can add a spillway program and this will put the return valve into full spa mode giving you 100% return to the spa and the spillway. I would shorten the daily program and add a 4-6 hour spillway program in the afternoon/evening to give you that nice waterfall effect. Look in the program for spillway

Is there a way to program auto mode and over-ride the remote without the remote after having lost the remote? It seems the auto mode changed on its own, I don't know why. It was running in spa-fill mode, now it's running in spa drain mode while in auto.

Could just be the switch on the valve actuator got flipped.

@@SPL Thanks for the reply.. Its actually that the control box is showing drain mode. But I'll just reverse the actuator and that will solve it. So I'm not the only technician who doesn't know how to over ride the remote? Lol

What if my pool has multicolored lights? How do you control and change the lights with that same system?

If you have Pentair LED lights you should see that appear in the menu if they were wired to the outside board.

how di i get to cool down mode?

My indoor panel is supposed to shut off at 5PM and the light goes off but the pump does not shut off. I do not know if it is the Pentair Intellitouch Control Panel inside the house is bad or could it be something else? Any ideas? Everything starts correctly at 11AM but it does not shut down at 5PM even though the light inside next to POOL goes out.

I would try resetting the breaker on the outdoor panel. Turn all power off for 30 seconds and then back on. Then if it still does this it is probably a bad relay on the panel. Not a major issue.

hello again I have a compool automated system that will not shut off. when time comes to shut off a "delay" starts blinking and I have to turn off manually. Any ideas why this is happening? Thx

There is a delay programmed in when the spa is being used and then you turn it back to pool mode to allow the heater to shut down properly. I think it is like a 1 1/2 minute delay. Is that what you are referring about?

Why does the panel say "POOL ERROR?" I noticed yours does in the video

If I remember correctly that error is for a bad temp sensor in the heater. Sometimes the panel just needs to be reset to clear it. Reset the panel by pushing the "Reset" button and then follow that by hitting the number "5" button.
