Intellivision was a great system in the day. Someday that will be said about PS5. I picked up Intellivision Classics for PS2. I'm 47 and would love to have an Intellivision again.

Whoa there fella…the graphics weren’t awful! They were simple, basic - but not awful. So here’s my (annoying) old guy wisdom: Not everything today, is better than yesteryear. Not everything of yesteryear is better than today. Just wait, until some kid is calling your Xbox or PlayStation crap, one day, and you’ll understand. 😉

I always thought about it. When there are no longer people nostalgic for something then that something is only valuable to history preservation types.

It's wild to think about it. Pat the NES Punk always uses the hobby of "Train Collecting". That was huge in the 50's and 60's. But who alive now wants that. Here's another one. 20 years from now, who is going to want a 3DO or the Atari Jaguar???? *my mind is blown

@@EX001 It does feel weird. I guess all we can do is be happy we got what we got and let future generations be happy with what they get

I'm only in my 30s lol this was my first console ever. I also think that the interest will always be there. I'm always on the look out for the oddball console. My favorite was the supa boy. Portable SNES that used SNES cartridges.

Many of us played with these "awful" graphics for hours on end. Those were the best of times - the 80's! I love today's machines too, but those wouldn't exist if it weren't for Atari, Mattel and Coleco.

Systems like the Intellivision, the Odyssey and Odyssey 2, Colecovision, systems like this I have always felt already are niche. The game experiences are simple, are in many cases 1 screen and about as basic as you can think of. The NES from a hardware standpoint is definitely unnecessary at this point, however I do feel that it was a formidable jump from the predecessors graphically as well as content and expansiveness and has a lot of historically important games that are and will still be playable, especially since people know them well for their difficulty. I think people will still collect for the NES for quite a while but as a necessary piece of hardware, many of these machines are no longer needed. I havent seen anyone work on a intellivision in a while, this was a fun video, thanks Ex! Also, if do work on one, I will remember the comment about the cord! Thanks man, always fun to see you upload!

You're forgetting something, its not going to be the person in his 50's that's going to sell the collection some day, it will be his children, the guy only collects this stuff because its fun and brings memories of a time long gone. He is not collecting the stuff for other people but for himself so who cares what other people will want or not.

Huge scene for playing gen 2 games... not really sure what the video is going on about. The values for these systems have never been higher.

@@130jukeboxherohaving gotten back into collecting Gen 2 stuff, I have to agree. It's not crazy high like peak NES or current GameCube but still higher than what one would expect but you can still get a lot for a little if you're patient. Got a Intellivison system 3 with Intellivoice module and 30+ games for 100.
