I have a few memories of being Peter's age and going through rehab. He's pretty much where I was when I was his age(except I did not have the added seizure complication). Watching him has reminded me of the determination and resilience I had at his age and still need to reach for from time to time. He is doing so well. I love to watch him discover his balance and develop his confidence in it. His instinct is to reach for independence. As an adult who grew up with CP, I can tell you it will serve him well. Mom and dad, you are doing a great job. Many blessings.

I love this kid that tries so hard. He is perfection! @@isthatrubble How do you deduce that if Petey is healed, all that therapy will be wasted? I'm thinking that you may need a heart-check if you want him to stay the way he is. He IS adorable just the way he is, but would you deny him a complete healing?

@@entropy2002 to completely heal him would make him into a totally different person (because everyone is shaped by their circumstances and life experiences) and if god did so, it would mean god wanted him to be "normal" more than he wanted him to be petey. I don't believe that at all, god loves everyone, disabled people included. jesus wants us to be supported and cherished by our communities (I am disabled too). praying for god to erase us is just the opposite of that. god works through everybody. god is helping petey to reach his full potential through his parents and his therapists and doctors. god helps the poor through those who volunteer their time and money to feed and clothe them. god helped those who can't walk through the people who worked hard to make wheelchair accessibility a legal right. we should all be trying to be a tool for god to help others with, we shouldn't just wait for god to fix the world for us.

I admit it, coming across one of Peter's updates, brings an instant smile to my face, he is so strong and resilient and his family so loving and supportive. He reminds me every time, science is pushing the boundaries of solutions for him, for his now as a child, so he can leave every effect behind him. He wasn't supposed to make it...and look at him thriving ~
