Intentional Overdoses!

Last week, I worked 5 night shifts in a row, and every single day I dealt with some sort of overdose.
A few of the overdoses included:
1. The patient took unknown pills from a friend house
2. Aspirin overdose. They were admitted and observed.
3. Intentional opioid overdose, which meant a lot of Narcan.
4. Unknown overdose, but presented with a prolonged QT, so they were also admitted.
Today, I want to review how to approach an overdose, even if you're not quite sure what was taken. We'll review the approach, labs, EKG, and management.

Im 47 male and six foot seven. How much Heroin do i need to kill myself ? Or do i just buy as much as possible ? Can it be done with one injection ? Which needle do i buy ? Thanks very much for any help.

Please don’t do it. Dont quit before the miracle happens. Whatever you’re going through just know that there is hope. You will get through it. You are strong. You can do this.
