I took up in 2023 skating, at 44 y.o. for my 7 y.o. daughter and I totally sunk in. Now I wish I had started it earlier in life, but it's never too late. From videos like yours, I've been learning everything from scratch: posture, balance, all kinds of braking techniques... even though my first skates were definitely not designed for beginners - Rolleblade RB 110. Yes, I jumped into the deep water, Within one season, I covered approx. 1000 km doing long rides. I'm trying myself in all environments - a bit of wizard skating, I still have to "conquer" skate parks and try out downhill. But all that will be on a different wheel setup.3x110s are too wobbly. I always wear full protection gear and I never fall into a trap of routine and over-confidence. Especially now that I'm forced to pause for a while - 2 weeks ago I had a nasty fall while descending a ramp and I broke my radius bone. Everything ended up with a quick surgical procedure and a titanium plate fitted in... And I just can't wait to get back to skating. Your skills are truly amazing and I hope I will get at least half of the flow like yours. Stay safe, Brother!

I always thought 85A is something more meant for indoors, maybe rainy wet surfaces, Ive only compared shitty cheap skate 85A 84mm wheels to 88A 90mm wheels on same skates and its like suffering vs absolute bliss skating those 2 versions. I doubt Ari would use bad wheels and he doesnt seem slow, so I wonder if 85A cheap and 85A good wheels are huge difference too. Still, love my 88A 90mm for all sorts of surfaces, even worst roads arent so bad (though I have a rubber shock absorber under my heel)
@thestutteringskater2 ай бұрын
I think that it just comes down to the quality of the wheel, I really like 85A if it's a good quality wheel, has enough grip to rely on it while turning, but slides with good technique.

Thanks for the comment! It all depends on your skate size, if you have a smaller foot, 4 x 80 is fine. If you have a larger foot, I'd suggest a longer frame that will give you a more stable experience
