Man, first of all, thank you very much for your mod. I love those tutorials. I'm here because I had a problem with this BO. I was doing a very nice time, finishing at 18:35~ but getting only a "B". That's why I came here to watch your demonstration and now I know what was wrong: I was idling my TC after clicking wheelbarrow. But man, I must say that the instructions were not clear about this point. I mean, look at my point of view: I've clicked on wheelbarrow and I had all vills filling the instructions (16/16 on farms, 8/8 on gold and 14/14 on wood), so why should I infer that I should keep making vills and sending them to wood? The instructions are just not clear about this point. It would be much better if they had an audio (when wheelbarrow is about to finish) saying something like: "Now, keep making vills until you have 39 vills (or until you reach 64 pop). I had to come here because this was driving me crazy, haha. I always got an A+ on all your tutorials before your last major update (11/28/2020) and not being able to reach A+ on this one made me doubt my own ability. I know that there is an instruction in the Hints panel saying that idling your TC in the last few minutes will limit your score, but the basic instructions are still unclear (for those who haven't read the Hints panel). Also, before the last major update, I used to get an A+ on this tutorial even tho I was idling my TC, so that's why I got confused. Please, consider making this last instruction clearer in a future update. Love your mod, greetings from Brazil.

Thanks Felipe :) Yes you shouldn't ever be idling your TC to click up, and the scenarios will punish you if you try to 'cheat' them :P just keep making vils until you can click up. There are a lot of things which I don't have time to explain in the scenarios themselves - things like taking sheep 1 at a time under the TC, sending vils back to sheep after boar, optimal mill/LC/MC placement. These are things that apply to every build order. I am working on covering all this on my new website, and I also hope these vids will help too.

@@cicero8676 Thank you for answering, I appreciate your attention. For sure, it's not possible to create a scenario with full micro instructions, I agree with that and I believe that's up to the player (to train and find out the optimal micro). Yet, the instruction about keeping making vills until clicking up seems more like a macro instruction. You even have this instruction in other tutorials, so not having it in this one could cause some confusion. I was kind dumb, too, for not noticing it. I admit it... 11 Once again, thank you for your work!

That is just the rms for generating new maps - you need to choose custom scenario.

I loaded up a guide but I don't hear anyone giving me direction in what to do. Single payer>editors>choose a scenario>load scenario> then a map shows up with boxes at the top left (map, terrain, players, units, diplomacy, global victory, options, messages, cinematics, triggers). Not sure what's going on

For those who still have this problem. re-subscribe the mod as the data sometimes is not in english which confuses the voiceover. So re-subscribing it will solve the problem

for Britons should I use this same build order or use 5 on sheep instead of 6? does it make a huge difference if I use 5 instead of 6?

In general with Britons, I'd always go 5 on sheep, and then add the 6th just before you lure the boar. 6 on sheep means you can run out of sheep before you bring the boar in if you haven't found your extra sheep yet; with 5 it feels close to the usual timing. It's also nice to have the extra wood from going to wood early.

Why do you split the two sheep after your boar? Also when should you send the villagers off sheep to wood and gold?

Because I probably had too many vils at that point to fit on one sheep. The scenario says to move to wood and gold after you click up, but you can actually start doing it a bit earlier so long as you know you will have enough food to click up. (I would've moved a couple after I finished the boar so I wouldn't need to take 2 sheep, but I didn't want to deviate from the given build order too much for the demonstration vid.)

How tight is the timing between ranks? A few seconds? A minute? Also, can you expand what each rank is indicitive of?

Timings are at buildorderreference.com. Grades are purely about the timings at which you meet the objectives for each benchmark.

You deserve a lot of praise for making these and thank you very very much! But, some of the instructions are making me pull my hair out! When I'm playing the voice instruction doesn't match what I'm seeing at all Around 4:00 how tf am I supposed to know to take 2 sheep at the same time? "Now send the rest to wood" worst instruction ever!! Tell us send 3 more or 4 more for a total of XX to wood. "Now move more villages to wood so that you have 11 villages on wood. And also move 3 villagers to gold." Wth is this?! Instead it should say: move 3 villagers to gold. Have 11 villagers on wood Also what FelipeAbou said. Appreciate the tutorial but that's negative learning.

Thanks F1fan4eva. The wording of the instructions may not be perfect, but there are actually good reasons behind the examples you raised. "Now send the rest to wood." Its common for a lot of builds to have you send a few more to wood at this point. There is no reason to memorize the number or to try to keep count as it doesn't really matter (and in general, I tried to avoid giving numbers when they don't matter). The numbers you should be looking at here are your food count and pop (or vil count). In practice, you can keep sending vils to food instead of wood if you need (eg. if you had a messy boar lure or if you want to click up earlier). Then once you've clicked up (or have 500 food), the important numbers for you to pay attention to are how many you have on wood/gold in total. As for your second example I guess your suggestion is less wordy. But yours could confuse people into thinking that they should already have 11 on wood, whereas my wording makes it more clear what action needs to be taken. You don't need to take 2 sheep at the same time at 4:00. I just made that decision here because it can be tricky to fit more than 7 vils around a single sheep. If I wasn't trying to keep to the BO I would've just moved one of those vils to wood once the boar ran out - you don't need to follow my BO exactly.

@@cicero8676 boy, I'm reading my comment after a night's sleep and it's needlessly aggressive. I guess I shouldn't have posted it right after trying the order about 10 times or so. What you said about the messy boar lure makes sense. If I had to use one word to describe my boar lure it'd be messy. I'll give it a few more tries later today. Have a merry Christmas!

@@cicero8676alright. I literally followed your video one instruction at a time pausing and playing (both the game and the video in parallel 😭😭) I used the save feature sort of as a checkpoint 1. Just before the first lure and 2. Just after clicking feudal I must've played that like... 7-8 times and the last two attempts, despite 54 and 57 seconds of tc idle time, I got an A for 6 archers and fletching and 24 archers. Man this felt like homework 😝 but at least now I know it's possible for me. Just gotta reproduce this in a skirmish against AI 🫡🫡
