Unphased, 10 Russian soldiers accepted the challenge and went up the hill to take out the Ukrainian. Moments later, shots rang out and then silence. This time out of the loudspeaker: "1 Ukrainian soldier is better than 100 Russian soldiers". Perplexed yet hesitant, 100 Russians went up the hill to dispatch the lone Ukrainian. Loads of gunfire, explosions, and flames could be seen by the remaining Russian column in the valley. Again, there was silence. Once more a voice came over the loudspeaker: "1 Ukrainian is better than a thousand Russian soldiers". This time 1000 Russian soldiers angry and humiliated at their losses and determined to take out this guy stormed up the hill with all they had. An incredible amount of gunfire and deafening explosions were heard from the hilltop. Again, there was silence. This time, a single Russian soldier wounded and exhausted escaped the carnage and returned to the Russian army and said: "Don't go up there. It is a trap. There are two Ukrainians!"

The problem also is that they look for other things such as money, silver and gold. If they are suspicious they will torture and kill. This is exactly what Hitler did and used his conquests to enrich the Reich. The difference was the stolen gold went to Hitler and his cronies and not the soldiers. Similar things are occurring here with valuables the Russian soldiers collect goes up the ranks. If it was just theft its bad but people get killed for the crime. As you say there become no limits. Even if Ukraine was overruning Russia and Russian was the aggrieved party, torture, butchery and rape is a war crime. you would be surprised how often something similar can be seen in a wars..for example,in a Croatian war for independence in early 90's a Croatian army has been attacked with a machine gun from a serbian village,they managed to destroy it and when they came into that village there was a dead 80 years old woman behind a machine gun..after all,many of those old people fought in ww2 and know how to fight haha

As a former Kansas Army National Guard soldier I would say these intercepts are a good reason not to carry a cell phone with you into the field. However modern society is so attached to them that it would take an act of God to separate any soldiers from their phones. Keeps up the good work on reporting on the war UATV and for the SBU keep up the intercepts. This is Izyum. There have been 20k to 30k russian soldiers in Izyum since the first week of the war that have done nothing. They made it into the city the first day without fighting, but once there they were sent to the front line and then came under fire, and then they all refused to fight. They have basically been living in Izyum for 3 months now doing nothing. The Ukrainians treat Izyum like a major russian control point and haven't tried to recapture, but it is basically 20k russians who will scatter as soon as they see a ukrainian

@@Maidaseu Meh, a few right wing nuts founded the azov batallion, but those extremist elements have been largely removed, and azov is a part of UA regulars taking orders from UA command. The right wing is so small in Ukraine that it failed to win any seats in the parliament last election. There is no more right wingers /neo nazis in Ukraine than in Russia or any other country for that matter. And I don't condone using wmds at all, but if russia uses white phosphorous, and other weapons banned from use against personnel, I woul dn't care at all if they got some in return in a tit for tat move.

I would highly advise the Ukrainian people to, at some point soon, declare in their hearts some sympathy for the few Russian soldiers that have found themselves caught up in all this mess without further culpability.
