Thanks for this video, yours is the only one that show how to use the key. I am a beginner and I was so confused how to actually use it.

You can use a big safety pin to tighten, which can be hooked onto your project, a project bag, etc to tighten. You can also use the hooks that spin from KnitPicks with these hooks. I am not a fan of the large ends to the hooks, and wish they were more pointed. Otherwise, I love them

Was just watching to see how they compare to my Lykke interchangeable hook set. Mine loom more sturdy (Lykke hooks are made out of driftwood). I do have a partial set of acrylic Knitters Pride hooks and they use the same cord and accessories as my Knitters Pride interchangeable knitting needles. The Lykke are super smooth and easy to use. Before he passed away last year, my husband bought me a set of the ChiaoGoo interchangeable tunisian crochet hooks. The Lykke set was a Christmas gift from him too. For usability both are excellent but the Lykke are smoother and so easy to use.

Lykke’s are made of birch. The driftwood is the color.

the Lykke price is a lot more, I've found.

Try doing a Tunisian extended stitch in the row two below, for Tunisian Mosaic work. You'll find it is difficult, especially on the first stitch next to the start end, to go under both the legs of that stitch, again because there is not enough of a point to the end of the hook.

I just came across your video for the first time, and I see that this video is from last year. I realy like your explanation. My question is, is there anyeay to attach one cable to the other, in case I have a long project? Thank you, and I will be waiting for new videos.

You should be able to buy connectors on the website for a couple of dollars. I've seen them there before, but haven't looked lately.

My set of the Radiance came with connectors- four in all. They also give you a LOT more stoppers than other sets I've looked at. My least favorite part of the set is the end of the hooks. They are very rounded and difficult to get into tight spots. They do glide smoothly and are super comfy to hold. They will not get snaggy like Clover, and KnitPicks swivel cords fit nicely onto these.

What set works best this one or clover?

When doing Tunisian in the round do I need both hooks to be the same size? And if so do they sell extra single hooks in order to do that?
@NickisHomemadeCrafts2 жыл бұрын
Yes for rounds you want the same hook size on each side

A few observations and comments: 1. Why on earth would anyone want a thumb rest on a tunisian crochet hook? Apart from your first few stitches, it will always be covered by your loops. 2. Non swivel chords are a reap pain 3. For most people, the smaller size hooks are unlikely to be used. A size 7mm, and 8mm would be more useful 4. I prefer a more ponted tip Lantern Moon are the best Tunisian hooks out there.

I agree with all of the above! My favorites are the clover Tunisian hooks though 😀

Isn’t it possible to do then same thing with the clover hooks for Tunisian crocheting in the round? It says it possible on the clover site. Is it a different model or something?
@karenstrachan2873 жыл бұрын
Clover does have a Bamboo set of Tunisian interchangeable hooks and you can do that with them as well if you have a set that has a cord with the ends made like the Knit Pro. My ChiaoGoo, my Lykke, and my Knitter's Pride sets work the same way. The nice part about these 3 sets is being able to buy replacement parts so I ordered some of the hooks to put the same size on both ends.

Is it possible to order individual hooks so you don’t have to order two sets in order to do in the round?
@NickisHomemadeCrafts4 жыл бұрын
Yes they do. Just click the link in my description and then click to hooks and you see them all there 😀

I have Interchangeable Pony hooks with the same mechanism so I could crochet in the round but they didn't come with the cords or stoppers and I CANNOT FIND THEM ANYWHERE! :'(
@nobleelf Жыл бұрын
What type end where the cord goes do the Pony have? I found that KnitPicks cords, connectors and stoppers, even the ones that spin, fit these hooks and other hooks. They do NOT fit the Clover interchangeables, because the Clover has cords that that fit OVER the hook end, not inside.

Do you have to use the same size needles?
@courtneylovesreading41164 жыл бұрын
If you are creating a Tunisian crochet piece in the round, yes, you need to use 2 of the same hook size.
