InterCity 125 - Then and Now

A comparison of the then-new InterCity 125 (High Speed) trains (HSTs), as recorded to Cine film by my late uncle at Paddington station in the 1970s, to the Midland Venturer railtour, filmed by me at Derby Station in October 2023.
As the Cine film is silent, I have added audio from one of the 'Age of the Train' adverts, with narration by Jimmy Savile, purely for its historical nature.
