I appreciate the heads up on the top down approach to access the intercooler. I'm gearing up to install Mishi IC and pipes.

You're very welcome, sweet, what year is yours? These 2.0 LTG cars don't get the love they deserve, you'll definitely feel a difference. I drive a 91 Camaro RS daily atm but really wanna get back into a 2.0 6th gen, prefer a manual but gonna get the automatic for the remote start in cold months lol.

That 91 RS is low, wide, and the 350 roars. Timeless. I have a 17 RS 2.0 6MT and I am loving it. I live in CA where I have many twisty roads available therefore I started with chassis mods like wheels, springs, dampers, sway bars, trailing arms, and tires. I'm weighing in on the local landfill scale at 3180 with about 3 gallons in the tank. Handling oh yeah. Plus I installed Clutch Masters clutch and aluminum flywheel to mitigate rev hang plus installed Hurst short throw shifter. It feels sporty and engaging in the twisties and it hooks up nicely with zero engine mods. Now I'm ready for engine modification. First things first, I installed Mishi dual catch can for engine health and peace of mind. Now for the rest. Heat soak is no bueno, it cuts the fuel on acceleration and rattles my nerves. Therefore the IC. Then everything else like intake, charge pipes, throttle body, plugs, downpipe, exhaust, and tune. I want to be able to leave the Mishi IC in place when it is time to smog. If I have to reinstall the stock stuff (besides the IC) and reflash to stock tune in order to pass I am ok with that.

@thejamstar NICE, I couldn't believe the handling on my 2019 base, no option 1LS M6 Camaro, unbelievably good and lightweight as you said! A while later I ended up with a 2.0 Turbo 1LE, soooo should've kept it, didn't realize how rare it was then :/ You'd have loved it, just did Mishimoto Intercooler, charge pipes, TB and a RaceChip on stage 3/6. Good call on the catch cans too btw, it's a great setup. Maybe a good E85 tune would help yours with heat soak? Have an excellent tuner here if you're close to Ohio, be happy to help, they don't hold boost very well the ltg as my tuner saw, the GFB diverter helps immensely, good comment btw😎❤️

That 2.0 1LE definitely intrigues me. Recaros, alcantara, suspension, extra cooling, forged wheels, very cool! Plus the upgrades you installed. Dang! I was on the fence with E85. Your comment pushed me over. Will be ordering ZZP E85 flex fuel conversion kit tomorrow (free shipping day). I appreciate the support. Your tuner sounds legit. I will be doing ZZP remote tune once getting the bolt ons installed over the next couple of weeks. I do the labor myself and I am okay with taking my sweet time to ensure it's done correctly. Btw the mishi dual catch cans rock as you commented. After only 400 miles of aggressive driving I had a significant amount of liquid in the PCV can and a little oil in the CCV can. Now that's proof it works. I ordered the GFB diverter valve then turned around and returned it because of a statement on the ZZP website under the Camaro intercooler listing: "It retains the use of your stock bypass valve because there haven't been any measured gains by replacing the bypass valve with an aftermarket BOV." You say otherwise. I am back on the fence.

@thejamstar You're welcome glad to help, I really love the ltg. Agreed, probably doesn't add any horsepower but you'll definitely get boost quicker and hold it longer, just make sure to lube the copper part of the piston with synthetic oil before install. Your tailpipes will stay cleaner so much longer too with the E85 and catch cans fill dramatically slower:) Tried the JacFab valve too on another Camaro, worked well but caused a CEL, tune would probably take care of that though. ZZP always made me happy as well, love their high flow catted downpipe, had 2 over the years and no issues. Your car is gonna be pretty darn quick with all this done lol, if you make a video lemme know I'd love to check it out, yeah wish I still had that 1LE, kick myself for selling it :( Awesome that you do your own work too btw, very satisfying and you know it's done right, no worries that way, respect🤝🇺🇲I think I still have my E85 kit from my first 2.0 if you want it, they're $250ish new, I'd do $120 shipped, just have it sitting in a box in garage.

Where did you get you turbo heat wrap?

Got the wrap from Ebay and the turbo blanket is ptp, kind of pricey but fits nice and works well.
