Intercooler Upgrade and "Body Work" | Project Alltrack

We get started putting body work back together on our Project Alltrack. This included swapping out the radiator core support, installing an upgraded intercooler, a new hood and fender.

@@techmaster777 No, it's got a custom tune on E30 and I don't want to change hardware. It's very fast, particularly under 40mph where a GTI just cannot work properly.

Just as a quick note, always bag your bolts in a plastic ziplock bag and use a sharpie to explain where they go and the quantity. Take pics or a video so you can see how it came apart and how to put the car back together.

Those radiator mountings are a nightmare not like normal plastic but a composite type that just wants to break

Quick question for you guys, I own a mk7 GTI and I’m stage 2 Apr, I noticed my rev limiter is at 7,200 rpm’s. How safe is it for my engine to be revving that high?

They added Audi support pads on the bottom of the frame. Look it up. Audi's bring lift pads, VW's usually have a plastic shield there where the pads would go. It is a common mod to do to VW cars.

Any chance you’d be willing to try an auto headlight conversion with this switch? www.shopdap.com/make-model-year/volkswagen/golf/mk7-golf-alltrack/lighting/switches/5gm-941-431-b-wzu.html I bought a euro switch and a light sensor to retrofit my Alltrack S and I get a behavior at night, when I turn the car off, the turn signals and interior lights flash and a bing sounds in the car. Otherwise it works great. I didn’t think it needed reprogramming. I’m wondering if my euro switch is the issue due to having the front and rear fog option.
