Interest Free Education Loan

🔸”Central Sector Interest Subsidy Scheme” (CSIS) provides full interest subsidy during the moratorium period (i.e Course period + 1 Year) on modern education loans without any collateral security and third-party guarantee, for pursuing technical/professional courses in India.
➡️To get Eligible for this scheme:-
Students having parental income up to Rs. 4.5 lakhs per annum.
Students enrolled in professional/ technical courses only from NAAC accredited institutions or professional/ technical programmes accredited by NBA or Institutions of National Importance or Central Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs).
CSIS is only applicable for domestic colleges and not for foreign institutions.

But there's an important point he missed here. I'm one of those graduates from one of the IIMs. So to avail the CSIS, you have to start paying the interest as soon as you take out the loan. Means during the course is going on, you have to pay the interest. Then only you're getting that amount reimbursed. And tbh, it totals around maybe less or upto 1lakh as interests for those two years. So, i didn't opt for it, since i didn't have money to pay the interest during the course.

It's half information. If you wants to get CSIS, don't forget to take loan from jan samarth portal via CSIS itself on the website. Else in any case it's impossible or most difficult.
