Beano Lifts there are some nice old lifts in Glasgow as well as some new ones to be seen, I know of a couple of 1920s era and 1930s era lifts, some still in operation and one that is listed and was kept but hasn't budged in 30 years or so, the old fashioned ones with the concertina hand-slide doors and mesh sides you can see through. I assume the ones still in use have new motors and control gear but am thinking the one that is out of use will have its old relays and Mercury arc rectifier up in the roof space. I think with a bit of asking about it should be possible to get into the motor room even though the lift is dead, for a 5 minute look around.

Those overhanging bricks at 5:40 are nothing special. It's held up by shelf angles that are attached to the building at every floor. No magic unicorns unfortunately.

The overhanging bricks are seen everywhere in England. I am sick of them. The buildings are not that well built, so why do they want to weigh them down with unneeded bricks. Building designers seem to think that people will like the building more if they see brick. Anyone that looks at these buildings and thinks that the bricks are supporting the building are idiots.

Went to Guildford today and I went to the high street and I seen a platform lift outside of a building and in Guildford In a bank has a platform lift and which was boring and went to some lifts in house of Fraser Went to A Otis 2000 lift which goes From LG up to 5 and went down in the Otis Gen2 But LG needed a key or maybe may be Staff only and 3 needs a key and guess Goes from LG Up to 4 and on the first floor there’s a Otis Gen2 next to the cafe and the toilets on the Level 1 went down to UG went down the stairs and there’s another Otis lift in House of Fraser did not go in it but think a Otis 2000.
