Here in Las Vegas they re in the process of demolishing the Tropicana resort. First job is knocking down the 1950's era low rise hotel rooms, the casino and ancillary structures. The two towers, they are also in the process of clearing everything out of the inside using bobcat type machines to plow through each floor and then pushing the debris onto the ground. Seems that a good bit of furniture was just left in the rooms and on the low rise, even the patio furniture remains during the demolition. Hard to say where all that debris will go. Everything is being stripped to the bare bones until the two towers are imploded this fall. All this to clear the lot so that the Oakland A's can start construction of the stadium next spring. Demo work is quite interesting.

Have to start selling the debris for re-use - instead of paying to dispose! Those slabs would make a good retaining wall.

what would the cost to the customer be for a tear down for this project. Sounds like you underbid the job because you made mention that it was a bigger job then you had expected. With that in mind, what would the industry, (maybe not what you charged) average charge for this job?

Is it not more profitable to take CLEAN rebar to the dump, surely mixed in with the concrete the tonnage price per $ is going to be less, I've done lots of " munching" as we call it here in the UK, ( pulverising the concrete) and it's mind numbing and S L O W , but perhaps you have time constraints, ie, get onto the next job where you can recoup losses on this 1 ? When's the next weigh in , I'm salivating 😅😅😅😅
