I used to work in Longbridge… never heard it referred to as “lovely” before but it does evoke good memories. Barnet Green is an interesting location too and a great gateway to the Lickey Hills

Meant as a lovely location if you like filming trains and I did walk through Barnt Green last year and found it to be a nice area, Thanks Andrew.

Excellent video Simon. Looks like you had good fun. Thank you very much for the shout out 😁😁. Glad you saw the 196 drag. They are being stored at Long Marston to make room at Tyseley (because it's still full) for the 196s at Donnington Rail Freight Terminal to come to Tyseley.

I’ve been bowled many times when I was going to take pictures of trains. Including excursions trains passing by and I got Bowles by a slow train making a stop at Shenfield station going back couple weeks ago.

Bowlage does happen to me as well, the worst one is when I was getting the Deltic and two Class 221 Super Voyagers bowled me at Stafford

@@Sim0nTrains I got bowled by numerous Class 720 and Class 321 trains at Shenfield, Stratford and Colchester lol.

Those were some brilliant movements you managed to catch, it's a good thing there wasn't any bowlage in the end lol. Also I feel sorry for you having to change at Cannock.

You got some incredible and unusual workings by some of the oldest and best diesel locomotives in service though to today. Its hard to think though that the class 20's & 37's are near enough 60 years old and the class 43's are near 50 years old. Stella of a Railway Journey :-)

Fantastic video, Cyber! Wonder if that abandoned island platform at Kings Norton will ever be brought back into use? Good to see the new 196s as well!
@Sim0nTrains2 жыл бұрын
It may be brought back when the Camp Hill Line is restored as they may be terminating trains at Kings Norton. Thanks barrowc

Great vlog Cyber! Interesting day out on the cross city line. Never had enough time to film Longbridge unlike Barnt Green. Great too see them different locomotive movements! That’s annoying your return Journey cocked up abit. I saw that on your Twitter and then I had a look on Tracksy and saw there was a queue of trains to get into New St lol. I’ve not done the rare bit of track that runs from Smethwick to Aston yet! Anyhow I enjoyed watching.

Nether had I done that line myself, think there a train a day that does that line but have to look into that, Thanks Sam

Great video simon.i wonder why the 'cross-country @ 'transport for wales' trains where stuck in new at tunnel as they are both diesel powered @ don't need overhead wires.
@Sim0nTrains2 жыл бұрын
It is a strange one being honest but the wires may had been down there so it caused a obstruction to move them, only a guess but not 100% sure on that one. Thanks Brian

Thank you for sharing Simon. I'm sorry the race with the class 20's didn't go as planned lol, still, never mind. That's the sort of thing that always happens with trains. As much as I love them, they can be unpredictable at the best of times.

Oh god!! CANNOCK!! I've never seen the 4th circle of hell so busy before lol! Excellent video Cyber! Some cracking shots from Longbridge with that HST and 37s. I think that the 196s are just being stored at Long Marston until they are ready to enter Service, Thrash from 37 and the 20s were outstanding! Shame about Cannock and was that your beloved 502 you saw on the way to Kings Norton lol!
