Why didnt they just have the character look like the actress. I have only seen her in a couple things and she’s a badass also has short hair in all of her roles. If the character looked like the actress this would have been day one for me. The design they went with for the character is really bland for such a high budget game.

Naughty Dog seems more focused on pushing identity politics than delivering creativity, which is alienating their audience. Gamers don’t want real-world issues forced into their games, we want escapism. If Naughty Dog can’t provide that, there’s no point in creating these games. They have forgotten that their audience is what made them successful, and ignoring fans will only hurt them further. It’s time for Naughty Dog to listen and give players what they actually want. I knew Naughty Dog was following this dead rabbit hole when we all played Last Of Us 2!

Devs need to go back to writing characters for a story, rather than trying to write a story for a character. Overarching story and universe should come first, then establish a character and have them develop with that story you've created to see how they'd fit in that world and what would work, it will feel more natural rather than focusing on the main character first with specific traits and characteristics that you feel you NEED them to have. You may be more likely to have a successful game
