This is kind of a terrible concept for a competitive show lol. The artists purposely strategically use the clients' wants against them when they assign the artists that are at a disadvantage. It should be random every time, none of this vindictive shit. It works for other shows with other talents, but when your canvases are real people and the work is permanent, there should be no opportunity for sabotage.

Now doing the crazy stuff like monochromatic portraits, new school, or other techniques is perfectly acceptable twists bc they should know how to do it. But intentionally giving someone an insane canvas and a style and technique with a major crunch just to fuck someone over is a little messed up. But if they know going in the tattoo may end up wack, and they agree to the job, then sure.

I’m not a huge fan of this show simply because I don’t think I shows how good a tattoo artist someone is because they’re forcing them to do something they know they’ll fuck up doin that’s permanent on someone else’s body all for the challenge and neither is happy in th end. That being said that I’d suck at these reality tv shows because I’d want to pair up the people who work best together because if I’m out there testing my skill I want it to be fair I don’t want to sabotage someone else’s work I want the challenge of knowing they’re going to be a killer team so imma work my ass off to beat them and this is what makes it fun
