Watching the earlier seasons is like watching a different show almost. In the first 5 or 6 there was competition, of course, but the artists tended to act like the normal people that they were- just artists who had a chance to go on this show, maybe learn some stuff and get some recognition. In the more recent seasons it seems like a bunch of the artists are more concerned about causing drama and becoming famous for being on TV and acting like children. Completely different feel, even though the premise of the show is the same.

St. Marq's stained glass tattoo may be my favorite tattoo that has come out of this show. The fact that he even had the foresight to leave tiny bits of negative space to give the outline dimension and make it look like actual soldering is absolutely incredible and beautiful.

I can't believe they didn't add the season 7 episode where Cleen comes back, challenges them to hot rods and choppers and gets handed this guy with the most absolutely insane idea. But then it turns out he's a huge Cleen fan and just tells him to do what ever he wants which helps Cleen to win. Now that's luck! By the way of all the returning artist that came back that season, Cleen was the only one to win his own challenge.

I deal with extreme chronic nerve pain as well. Probably different from yours, but for me, getting tattooed actually distracts me from my pain as it gives my brain one specific area to focus on instead of basically my whole body.

It's really not very painful. It isn't pleasant by any means, but it isn't that bad. If you have chronic pain, you know pain. I have severe nerve damage in my back, and tattoos are way easier to deal with.

Sauguaros actually do grow in some spots in new mexico and even a few spots in south texas but they are just iconicly known from the state park in arizona and yes they are everywhere there basically but there has been a few spots where they have been found growing in the other states
