I recently learned that they have a tool to interlock hair. 😄 I've been using this method for 16 years in my son's hair. I just used the interlocking tool on my hair this past weekend and I must say that it took way longer than doing it by hand (without the tool).

I use my fingers too, but only do a 2 point rotation. Using our fingers prevents us from interlocking too tightly, which can happen with a tool.

You should try it and I’m not sure exactly how long it last but I can say definitely longer than a retwist .

No I stopped using it , no specific reason. I was only using it because I was away from home and all of my hair products was home so I was just using it for the mean time . It did smell really good.

If you decide to keep interlocking try to do it the same way. As in no tools since that's how you started. Tools can make the interlocking process look tighter or looser just depending on the size and tension. And that's a tip just if you want uniformity. If you want to try a tool go for it. :) I've used both my hands and a tool and I prefer the tool. I'm able to get closer to the roots without it being too tight. :) And try to do a 2 point instead of 4. 4 point will make your looks more thinner and compact..

Your the second person that told me to do the 2 pint instead of 4 . But I remember someone was sawing with the two point you can get holes in your Locs over time so at this point I’m not sure lol.

What phone are you using lol. Nah, fr thou? I wouldnt have even known it was a phone thouuuu 😅😅 I've been thinking after I go get my starter locs I'll probably be interlocking for practically the same reason... No matter what my hair will grow outside my braid. Even if I use product and slick my hair into the braids, ends and everything. I thought that was normal but apparently my hair just unruly lol.
