With Fasting.... 1: Tons of Water and Unsweet Tea is a huge help. 2: Walking is better than running/jogging in a fasted state. Walking releases the chemicals to relax you and satisfy you so you don't feel as hungry. Running boosts the hormones that cause hunger. Also boosts cortisol, AKA the Stress hormone, which keeps fat in the body. If your hungry at night, go for a 20min walk, come home and eat whole fruit. You'll sleep far better.

I first lost about 70 lb in 2007 on intermittent fasting when no one was talking about IF. I didn’t even know I was doing it. I just didn’t eat if I wasn’t hungry and also worked out before my first meal. I did 30 mins cardio on an incline treadmill, then a full body workout. I had the exact same body type as Fat Brixx. I maintained the weight loss but unfortunately life and family happened and I gained it all back. Now I’m struggling with motivation to get back in the gym while on IF. Wish me luck lol

Intermittent fasting can really be a game changer. I was at a job where pre-covid we were understaffed so I was pulling 12-15 hr days 6+ days a week and I ended up intermittent fasting on accident. I lost 60+ pounds without noticing until I was able to zip up a hoodie I couldn't before. I hadn't even changed my diet or exercised outside of my active job. Now I'm trying to figure out how to do it on purpose with my new schedule.

IF put me in a position to live a healthier lifestyle. 2 minor tips I have to share 1. If you’re under the weather (as I am today) forget your window and feed yourself what you need, get some cardio in, and when you feel better, get right back to routine 2. If you’re work night shift and still want to do IF (I worked 6p-6a for a time) be lenient with yourself 14/10 or 15/9 window. Night hours aren’t what the body wants to do. Eating when you wake up before work (a nice structured meal at home) and try to cut out all food intake 4-5 hours before your work day is done, head to gym after work, sleep then get up and do it again next day. Hope this helped. 🔥 Content again Brix 💯.

Another trick to extend your fast before breakfast is push back your break time by one hour like Brix advised but in addition to that…try having a cup of black coffee or green tea once you’re normal breakfast time comes around. Coffee is known to blunt hunger so that should be a hack to stretch an extra hour once you’ve gotta the hang of new eating pattern.

Personally, I lost weight after including intermittent fasting. My diet is probably 50-60% whole unprocessed carbs depending on the day. My split is usually 16 hrs fasted with an 8 hour eating window. I wasn't doing any high intensity exercise when I started either...just walking. I'm sure I didn't go into any deep ketotic state while fasted. My point is this: try different things & see what works for you.

@quiseanrobinson11413 жыл бұрын
anything with calories breaks a fast. in the most basic form black coffee, green tea, and water are the only things that wouldn’t break a fast.
@Merdenoms3 жыл бұрын
There are different schools of thought with this. I personally use zero sugar, cals energy drinks and plain water during my fasted state. There are some who are "fasting nazis" who will only promote dry fasting where you consume nothing during your fasted window. I think where Brix is coming from is some of those carbonated drinks will spike your blood sugar which is "breaking" one's fast. And then you have some who see consuming anything under 20/25 cals as not breaking your fast as long as it's not solid food. In the end it's really up to you and what you're comfortable doing to maintain your fasted state.
@quiseanrobinson11413 жыл бұрын

Respectfully I do not agree 💯. I do believe breakfast is the most important meal of the day which fuels you for continual effort. However when you have breakfast is important. You don't need to have breakfast at 8am or 9am. It's literally just breaking the fast period you started since the night before. So your breakfast as you say can be done in intermittent windows later in the day. But I do believe breakfast is still highly Important.
@nicmelendez76092 жыл бұрын
He said exactly what you just said. Most people connect breakfast as a morning meal but it simply means break fast so the time doesn't matter.
