Reminds me of my early trucking days ---- working on equipment out in the yard ! Only thing is later in day someone always started to bring out "adult beverages"......we never got much accomplished after that happened for some odd reason ! LOL To me a tire with less than 85 psi is a FLAT TIRE !! Like you said at those pressures they wear prematurely and tire life can be cut in half and if you know ANYTHING about trucking you know tires are expensive $$$.

so no air, no breaks??i thought taking air off would engage the breaks. I would love a good explanation to that. When you pull the break in the truck, what is happening to the breaks exactly? I never could understand if adding air applies the break or the other way around.

Speedy, its actually both ways like you said, it takes 120 psi to release the parking brake and when your traveling down the road it takes 120 psi to apply the brakes to slow down

Great video. Never imagined how labor intensive repairing brakes or how much is involved on trailer brakes. Do you have to rebuild all the brakes on this trailer. Hope boss appreaciates and pays you for your labor.

What are your thoughts on super singles? Personally I don't like them. Why? My trailer is a belly dump for sugar beets and instead of 12 we have six on the tandems. We go through tires like candy because drivers when they do to dump in the hoppers they don't straighten out the trailer and they hit the rims and tires get torn. Thats expensive. Super singles are not good in winter especially on drive axles. Unless you lock your diffs.
