International Day of Democracy Panel

Meghan O'Rourke, CCTV, hosts a panel with Sandy Baird, activist and lawyer; CD Mattison, DNC delegate and political campaigner; Ali Dieng, Former Burlington City Councilor and New American Leader; Pelin Kohn, VT League of Women Voters. The panel discusses the state of local democracy and their experiences navigating the political system and working for social and political change.

Direct democracy is the only democracy of government worth pursuing. Every US citizen voting directly on every idea, bill or law. Unanimous decision. It directs focus on ideas and not fake faith on people.
