Hi, you can apply from any RTO within the state. For interstate a transfer of original DL needs to be done before applying for IDP. I had a DL Pune and had to transfer to Bangalore before applying for IDP.

Hi Nawaz, thank you for your comment and feedback means alot. If you're mentioning a visa free or Visa exempted country and submitting same country flight tickets then that's enough. You don't have to submit visa related documents. Login to your state portal and submit your details and within 3-5 days the IDP will be approved.

My DL RTO is in Delhi while I'm now based out of Bangalore. Will I still be able to apply online and get the IDP? Edit: I was just checking on mparivahan. It's saying IDP is not allowed on my DL. Any possible reason/solution that you can think of for that?

@@k0v0v0 Hi, thank you for your feedback. Means alot 😍 IDP must be applied from the same RTO where DL was issued or state. I had the same problem and had to transfer the DL from Maharashtra to Electronic city RTO before applying for IDP. You can either apply from Delhi RTO or spend some more money to transfer the DL to KA. My agent took care of everything when I got my first IDP done.

@@shivarnm Hi, unfortunately IDP is mandatory as per the rules. Only DL is not accepted and fines are very high in Malaysia. Try to get a IDP before going. Also, Becareful while driving in KL. Very confusing and sometimes traffic is horrible. Sharing my experience.

Medical certificate of driver, travel insurance, car insurance, carnet(a customs declaration identifying the vehicle to be imported), valid RC.

Hi, You have to get your license transfer to KA to be able to apply from KA RTO. If not try Haryana Parivahan website and see. I had to transfer my DL from MH to KA and clear any backlogs before applying for IDP. You can leave the visa number as Visa on Arrival or VOA. They will have a list of countries offering visa on arrival to indian passport holders. You don't need a visa number.

Catch some agent and ask him to get it done soon. Pay few bucks and they will do it. Bali cops are very strict and they mint money like hell. Fine is around 7-10k INR per day.

Yes, IDP is needed on top on regular DL. Many countries issue DL in local language and that's why IDP was introduced as an international permit in English.

Bro, here is the link to the PDF explaining the steps. Form 1A is for medical checkup. Download and go to a govt hospital and get doctor stamp and signature. They may charge you 100-200₹ for that.

Hi, congrats on the IDP. If you want a seal, you have to visit the RTO(for physical copy as well) and it's a time taking process. Better just download and print it. A seal is not needed. Many countries issue IDP without a seal like a digital document.

If contacted, just let them know that you are in Bangalore and a physical visit won't be possible. They understand and you may have to pay a few bucks to get it done. Hi, Since the RTO is different. You need to visit Noida RTO to get the IDP approved. You may have to transfer to Noida RTO or make some changes. But you can do it in Noida. Try online first and keep Noida RTO as second option.
